    re: running away
i use to have that problem until i added the auto-run key to the do-not-pass list. after that, i only got that problem in bad bandwidth situations (really a lag issue at that point)

    re: dr watson
you got a crash from keyclone when a window crashed? odd. i'll look into it.

btw, watch the website for some updates. i am adding a FAQ and maybe a tutorial section for keyclone users. i'm hoping this will clarify some of the issues. i am also spending tomorrow on keyclone updates/bug fixes. (damn list keeps growing )

please send any FAQ style questions to me and i'll add them to the list. once i start putting the tutorial together, any feedback will help the newbies a lot.

Mkay just kill the auto walk key, this will make running back a bitch ^^

Actually the crash part is everytime one of the windows goes dead (if I bork it or it gets borked by some blizz error :P).

Can't you reassign the auto run key to something more practical, like a mouse button? That's what I do. Either that or mouse wheel up.

I have that, its bound to one of the thumb buttons of my logitech mouse on the main machine (run 1 wow on my main rig, 4 on the second one). I really dont understand why 2 of the toons start wondering about. Ill remove the autowalk on the others and see what happends. Also its not all the time, usually its all of a sudden that they start running about.

I got the 'run aways' usually when pressing the alt and self buffing my main. Pressing alt a few times in quick succession and I usually hear dinging from the background windows and the group starts running away. Can be really frustrating when you're in a middle of elites :x

I know Keyclone is looking into the alt/shift/ctrl support so hopefully this will get resolved. The only other thing that I can suggest is to possibly be able to add alt/shift/ctrl to 'do not pass' list. Right now it won't let you just press alt.. in the window; you have to press alt+key.

On a separate note.. how does round-robin work? When I set my space to be on it I thought pressing once will do my main window, pressing again will do 2nd client, etc. Right now I have to press once for main, to pass again I have to tap twice, to 3rd client I have to tap three times. I thought it would cycle the clients with each tap.

btw I'm running 5 wow clients (4 minimized) on a single machine.

i just posted a new version of keyclone on the website, v1.4 build 06aug2007a

round robin should be working again with normal keys.

i also believe the extended keys (alt/ctrl/shift) should be in place (unable to test properly at the moment.. feedback via PM would be appreciated)

the website is also updated. feedback is most welcome (along with additional FAQ style questions). anyone have a video of a 5+ keyclone clan, send it over and it could make the main page.

    on the to-do list:

o hotstrings are not working with round robin at this point
o bug in keymap when saving a file with bad extension (P1)
o mouse clicks behave badly with wow during multi-instancing
o need to add 'auto-connect' option to keyclones, or at least remember the last iport
o right-click menu needs to work better with remote clones (lots of changes)

if you have anything to add to the list, please send me a PM and i'll tack it on.

    have fun,

    Rob

Round robin still isnt working for me in 1.4a.

Repeatedly hammering keys assigned to round robin still ocassionally sets off the action bound to the key in one of the window but on 20 keystrokes, one window will radomly go off.

The spell doesn't even go off in the window I have selected and active and I am still getting a windows ding with every key press.
