Understand where your coming from man. It's cool that you have the know how to do something like that. I've never seen or used your program.

One question that may turn out to be a better sales pitch is. What kind of service and support to you offer for your program? I pay a little more if I know i'm going to be good hands. Given the choice of getting class A support over saving a few dollars, I always pay the extra and i'm sure others do as well. Make sure to reflect that on here. Show us why its worth the money

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.

i'm always looking for suggestions and try to respond when i can (i do have some life... not much, but some). normally, i have turned around requests within 24-48 hrs, depending. programming requests could take longer, obviously. all licenses are perpetual and transferable (within reason... not doing it daily). as such, you get all future upgrades for free, just download and install over the old version.

after seeing some of the crazy rigs on this site, i started working on improving keyclone for the massive multi boxers (mmboxers?)

    first up: keymapping
still should be grey area (as far as the game companies are concerned) and would be very useful for mixing different character types within the same group

    second: macros
still iffy about this. this would take keyclone definitely into the realm of unattended macroing... but would definitely help the mmboxers

    third: commands
probably more grey area then macros, and should help the mmboxers

i had to upgrade the setup dialog and improved a couple of workability issues already.

the alt/shift/ctrl keys to remote keyclones is still an issue and will be worked after this round of functionality (mid week?). the bug only pops up when you are tying remote keyclones together. multi apps on the same machine do not have this bug

I may be wrong (that happens sometimes ), but this could possibly be the Unique Selling Point I've been grasping for in trying to work out why I'd pay for something I can (effectively) already get for free...

If it allows me to send keystrokes to multiple instances of WoW on the same machine AND to other machines simultaneously, then I think we have a winner.

I don't run more than a single instance on each box now, but wouldn't mind giving that a go if it was workable without AHK or similar. If it also happened to broadcast to multiple instances on the local machine and to multiple instances on the remote machines, so much the better!

10 boxing on 5 actual boxes. Mmmmm.....

    My feature wishlist would be:

    - Vista compatible (put those barbs away you rabid anti-Vista folks! this is MY list )

    - Able to send ALL keys to mutliple instances of an application on the local machine

    - Able to send ALL keys to mutliple instances of an application on multiple remote machines.

    - Able to selectively disable the broadcast of keys, including modified keys (alt/ctrl/shift combinations). Just a binary flag would do for me - I don't intend to get into the realms of not broadcasting certain keys to certain instances of the app!

    - Absolutely no embedded macro, automation or other grey / pitch black areas of functionality.

    edit: mandatory typos...

keyclone was designed to pass keys between multiple programs on a signle box as well as pass to other peer keyclones, which would in turn pass down into the individual local programs.

on my machine, i can run 5 shadowbane instances at once on one machine, with 3 on another and 1 per laptop (4 keyclones hooked together... 10 characters synchronized). for the wow video, i had one on a laptop recording and 4 on my main machine (2 keyclones, 5 characters in a group). i haven't tried more then 5 characters in wow yet (anyone try it? does /assist work outside your group?? i figure it should considering raids, but i have not tried it)

here is a screen shot of keyclone running on my machine

    link
(ok.. how do you wrap a url around an image using bbcode?? seems broken to me)

note in that shot i have 1 keyclone peer attached and 5 local clients

as for Vista compatibility, well... you'll have to beta test that for me, and if it doesn't work, i'll try to fix it. i have no current plans to abuse my machines with vista, and considering the hardware requirements for vista... i don't foresee it happening anytime soon.

Ok, no Vista support is a good enough reason for me to stick with what I have. Fair enough.

Running 5 WoWs using windows Vista won't work any way since the memory usage double compared to the XP mem usage while running WoW.

Atleast, I installed Vista hoping for a nice fast game play but instead of using 500mb, it started using 1gb, only running WoW ... ><
But lets no talk about vista ... Just mentioned this because the program isn't compatible(maybe) and even if it was, WoW would suck.

i didn't say it wasn't compatible... just that i haven't tested it on vista. as far as i know, it should work (unless microsoft really messed around). to my understanding, vista is more winnt like, and should therefore be fine (if anyone has vista and has tried it.. please let me know, thx).

most windows apps run on the new microsoft platform so long as you adhere to standard practices (which i have). i have stuff i wrote for win3.1 back in 1991 that still works on winxp.. no recompile needed.

I didn't say it wasn't compatible either. I said it wasn't supported. Which it isn't

    Maybe one day.

I can comfortably run 3 WoW on a 2GB Vista notebook (!) and that's more than enough for me so I haven't tried more. I'll just have to look elsewhere for my "keyboard broadcasting killer app"!

i'm able to do 3 WoW clients on my 3 yr old xp notebook as well.. of course it only has a 1.5GHz processor w/ 1GB of memory and 64M of grfx memory.

an extra gig of system memory and double the processor and vista gives me... alpha blending on windows? lol

definitely not running out to cripple my box with the 'upgrade'
