    Default Distance conditional?

well first off, wow absoultly awesome little niche of WoW here.

i have played since beta, and have been bored with the game more times than i can count :P i have quit restarted, lvld new, deleted geared 60s and 70s, all to find out there is more =)

SO, I have started 4 shamans, I know everyone is doing them but they are the perfect system.

SO my questions is, I have been lvling now for a while, and have started getting more familiar and evolved with good macros, using focus, getting good at switching mains in emergency, targets etc..

however, I have come into problems, when I am trying to fight several mobs at once, one shaman on each target. this doesn't happen that often, but when playing in crowded areas, I like to dominate the area and sue the advantage of 4 locations at once at my disposal.

    I am currently using:

my main shaman as the focus, and all spells by all shamans have:

"/cast [target=focustarget] SpellPWN (Rank69)" style spells, chain lightning, shocks etc etc...

the problem is, when / if I have a problem, and need to engage several targets at once, either because we got separated in PvP by fears, or otherwise, I need a way that my regular keys for spells will work in a pinch to target baddies in front of the shaman casting the spell, even if the "focus" target is too far or out of line of sight.

basically, i have found that I can quickly change mains if one dies by:

    /clearfocus
    /focus Toon2

but, what always ends up happening, is I get noticed by whored, and they send everyone they can after the "hacker" haha, so i get warlocks fearing me and priests fear bombing my group when i forget to have defensive totems up, and then I get aoed or something because my spells wont cast while my "main" is too far away. and i can switch mains, but it would be so much easier to have them all able to cast on the first target in their "tab" cone.

anyway, not sure if anyone has an answer, or if its not able to be done, or if theres a stupid easy explanation, but i have looked through the conditionals and haven't seen anything about range, or something to say [if this target is unavaiable, blast something else, biatch] .. this is what i require haha

thanks, and awesome job figuring this out guys, i have had so much fun in the last 3 days, breaking my own record of lvl 46 in 3 days played lol. this has brought new life to WoW for me, and im pumped to get to 70 and start blasting in the arena =)

As far as I know, you are out of luck. You can target and cast in macros, but you can't check range. You can check range in scripts, but you can't target and cast. :-/

    See for instance http://www.wowwiki.com/API_IsSpellInRange.

level 46 in three days, and still had time for pvp? Good job! :-D
