If you can wait half a year then you could hold out for these: http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles...910&cid=2&pg=2

Grab a 2 socket mobo and 2 of those chips and you can assign 3 or 4 dedicated threads to each instance of your 10 WoW clients.

Or wait a little longer and get a Gulftown (first desktop CPU with 12 logical cores) in early 2010. It might handle 10 WoWs nicely, I don't know. There are rumors on hardware websites that Gulftown will drop into current i7 motherboards.

I personally find the mega-pc is not really going to cut it for you.
The main reason is memory, there is a limited amount of memory bandwidth just as there is a limited amount of GPU bandwidth.
I use two pc right now to run 5 copies of wow, I can run all 5 on one pc but I find it laggy. I almost never lag on two pc.
I just wonder if you couldn't buy 3PC using much less expensive hardware to get your 10 copies going. You loose the PIP but you get so much more in other ways.

3 pc have 3x the memory bandwidth of a single mega PC.
3 pc have 3x the GPU-PCI bandwidth ( as in data going to/from the video card via the PCI bus )

So whats your budget? There is a lot of ways you could go, and what some of the others point out you could probably build 3 lesser PC's for the amount of 1 Mega PC or you can just build 3 mega PC's if the budget dont matter

Lol the hardware section is hilarious. People love specs and parts that it seems anyone will post a response even if it is a blatant troll.
