Default Gathering and Looting with Slaves

This is something I stumbled upon a few weeks ago for looting with slaves.

Bind "Interact with Target" in the key binding menu.
Go into the "Interface," go down to "Mouse" and select "Click-to-Move."

Now if you have a dead mob selected in the slaves window, after pressing the "Interact with Target" button, the slave will actually run over to where the mob is and then loot it, how ever this breaks follow. This will not break follow if you are standing close enough to the mob to loot.

Here is a video I made basically poorly describing what I have wrote in the above paragraph.

Do you NEED to have click to move on? Or is that only if you want to loot mobs on a long range?

    Thanks for the find!

Click to move lets them run to something if they are out of range to use it. I always keep mine on because the follow distance is pretty far when mounted and I dont like to run through NPCs like flight masters or repair vendors to use them.

You can also use the click to move to have your guys face an enemy. Just use interact with target with click to move on and they will face it and begin to run to it. Then just hit the back arrow to stop them right away. Never worry about facing the wrong way again.

It's extremely nice for other things too.

I use the Jamba addon for flightpaths and quests.
Jamba lets you designate (or change) which toon is the master.
And it has the slaves click the same option as the master in a lot of areas.

If I click a quest npc, via interact, any out of range toon runs into range.
So there is a greatly reduced chance of one of the toons missing a step in a quest chain.

A guy posted a hunter application for world/BG's possibly arena.
He's got a hunter main, and hunter slaves on follow.
While running away, they select a target who is chasing them.
Jump into the air, press Interact, which makes them all turn towards (and once they land, move towards the target).
Now they're in the air and facing the target - They can do an instant shot like Arcane Shot.
If you're fast, you can click your follow key, so the slaves are once more following the master and not about to land to run to the target they're kiting.
The master needs to be quickly faced in the original direction, and just keeps running away.

Very strong option with Click to Move and Interact with Target.

Well thanks for the replies, like i said, I didn't know if anyone had found this before, or at least used it like this.

yea click to move is only to get the ranged npc's

i personally use it for looting, gather quest, getting quest, turning in quest, taxi'ing flight paths, and getting close for melee mobs (if you spam it, the slaves will chase down a mob)

I like the idea of using it to turn around in mid air for a hunter, since that is what I run

I've had this turned on for quite a while now and found that it is extremely helpful. Another thing to turn on is Auto Attack on Assist. I use this for my melee class teams like my Pallies. This way they don't stop attacking when I'm in the middle of a fight and I end up switching targets either by mistake or on purpose. Just be careful with that option with casting and ranged teams and when you're in instances.
