One of the teams I'm thinking of leveling in 3.2 is a team of 4 shamans for pvp. Now, my question is about how many machines and how efficient it is to run with my current computer configuration.
Currently I run 5 clients between 2 computers. This works for me in PvE, but would be impossible for me to manage in PvP because of how slow it is switching between characters. This doesn't matter too much for me because in PvE if the tank goes down generally it's a wipe anyway.
I was thinking of switching my configuration to something like this:
Computer #1 P4 computer running 1 wow client.
Computer #2 P4 computer running 1 wow client
Computer #3 Quad Core of Power running 2 wow clients
I can technically run 3 clients without much problem on computer #3, but it woud make things significantly easier for me to manage if I only had two clients on there. Specifically, I would want to have my configuration as smooth as possible to adjust during pvp. If my main dies, for example, I want to be able to quickly switch to another window/computer and pick up where I left off.
I could technically get a hold of another machine (another P4), but I wouldn't have a monitor for it (I could get it onto a kvm) which would probably bring new headaches into the equation.
For those of you running 4xshamans in pvp, do you suggest going with 4 separate machines or at least 4 separate monitors in order to keep things easier to manage? I'm not planning on doing any arena, just BG's (AV and such), but I want to be successful and have fun in those.
