Tdog have you tried all paladins going prot? Im curious if they all have massive amounts of block how well they can dps. Not to mention you would be almost unkillable in pvp.

Here's my pally team so far. Right now, they're parked at lvl 46 and 45. I've got Blacksmithing on my main, so the questline put him farther ahead in xp, damn near a whole lvl worth. Anyway, here's their pages on the Armory:

    Lansylot 46 Prot

    Kírstyn 45 Ret

    Kïrstyn 45 Ret

    Kîrstyn 45 Ret

Thinkin about switchin the Rets to Prot for the BGs to survive longer. Everyone hates goin up against tanks in there, so I figure, why not 4 Tanks woopin up on eveyrone at once Atleast that way, I don't have to worry about my slaves pullin aggro off my main. Tryin to save up enough for Dual-Spec on them now that they're all past 40. Just need the gold.

I've thought about it, haven't done it though. The two problems I forsee with all Prot would be one mana and two no DS for groups heals. Sure all the paladins would have spiritual attunement but with only 5-6k mana pools that's like 5 Holy Lights and you're done. If you used Divine plea than you're healing for next to nothing. The reason DS is so great in my book is because not only does 4x DS heal for a ton but you have no need to target and cast WHILE dealing tons of damage and it's a short cooldown. That said I don't want to discourage anyone from giving it a try if they want too. If you do and you make it work post up and let us know how it goes.

I have however thought about all Shockadin's at least for pvp if not for pve. I think that would provide a good amount of burst/surviability not to mention fun. I would recommend however to you guys giving Ret an honest chance in pvp. I already destroy in pvp with my current set-up and tbh it's pretty rare that I will start losing toons unless I'm just being stupid or get overwhelmed.

I'll be writing up a section on PvP in BG's eventually when I get the time.

Hit 62 last night and have upgraded the gear for most slots on my guys - only have the bracers and a ring slot to go. Here's a link to my armory for those interested:
    Main:
    Hammertïme
    Alts:
    Hammertîme
    Hammertìme
    Hammèrtime
    Hammertíme

Similar to Tdog, I've gone for slightly different specs on each toon to maximise the benefits of blessings and auras, and minmise the redundancy of non-stacking buffs.

    Cheers,
    S.

One thing I didn't see in your lists is the most important piece of gear for a ret pally, your 2h'ers! Go get the Hellreaver out of Ramps! You'll tear down elites before they even know what hit em with 5x ret pallies.

Tip for the last boss, once the dragon lands have your main w/Righteous Fury on kite him around in a circle while strafing while spamming your follow button (this is one of the reasons I have /follow in my attack macros) and you will avoid all the fire breaths on the followers, just use SoL on your main, and 5x DS and 5x instant FoL's should be enough to keep up your main so you don't ever have to actually stop and direct heal.

There's also a couple of superb 2h maces that drop from Underbog (Black Stalker) and Shattered Halls (the ogre boss, I forget his name), though you'll upgrade that as soon as you do about 5 quests in Howling Fjord. :P

My pally team hit 70 last night. Looking forward to seeing how they do in Northrend. 20% less collection quests for me though as one of my pallies is already 80 and decently geared.

    PALLY POWAH!

Yea there are quite a few good 2h'ers in Outlands. Once you are able to complete Sethakk Halls I'd go for Terokk's Quill , that should last you for the rest of Outlands. Then just pick up that first green 2h'er in Boren Tundra. er Howling Fjord for Horde.

Edit: Put a link in post #3 to Stealthy's lists. Thanks for taking the time to put them together Stealthy!

Tdog have you set up any paladin for Divine Sacrifice? I was reading a ret thread on another board and it is a must have for raids. Well I started thinking about it and what if you had it so one paladin uses divine sacrifice and divine shield at same time meaning that paladin would take no damge since hes immune. That would mean your group can take 150%(health of paladin) of incoming damage before the buff expires. If you have this on round robin your group can go 600% of health before actually taking damage. Am I thinking this through correctly?
