no multiple casts in a macro ?

say it isn't so... can someone find or point me to the release notes where this was changed?
this means all of my macros need to be updated.

    is multiple castrandoms ok?

Blizzard stopped the ability to use multipule casts within 1 macro. It will use the first spell and then error out.

    So the example:

/castsequence [yourdpstargettingschemehere] judgement X, crusader strike, divine storm,, crusader strike, judgement X,,
    /cast [target=tank] flash of light

    Should not work.

As the first castsequence is used. The 2nd should never be used.
Note the two commas after the last judgement, which inserts a blank spell and allows a "fall-through" to the heal.

Consider the following macro for a paladin:
    Code:
    /cast hand of reckoning
    /cast exorcism
    /cast judgement of light
The first spell is the pally taunt that is off the global cooldown and is designed to be worked into a macro. Once it casts, you'll cast Exorcism. But exorcism is on the GCD and is not designed to "fall through" when it's on cooldown, so judgement of light will never be cast.

And no, multiple castrandoms will not work, unless you add in an extra comma(s) to allow "fall-through" to the next line(s).

what I ment on the multiple cast randoms was
    /castrandom holy shield,
    /castrandom x,y, z

does this give me a 50% chance to throw up holy shield assuming it's not an any cool down?

I'm using the 5x pally team as well.
    I happen to use the
    /castrandom holy shield,
    /castrandom x,y,z

my alts have divine storm in a large castrandom

My main sometimes just needs more healing than the divine storm I get from my alts.
I have a round robin key that I press to cast a major heal on the main that I also use in a more of a panic situation.
what I don't like about the this round robin key is that the particular pally might be on global cooldown and not cast the heal so I end up spaming the heal button and wasting mana with 4x heals
I have a button I can press that does all of the divine storms that aren't on cooldown at once, this seems to help for several situations.

I will try adding in the round robin random heal suggested here

when I was leveling I rarely ran into something I couldn't handle but now at 80 I'm kind of surpised at how many things I'm not able to do.
I find some bosses are easy like the last boss in the old kingdom is easy sauce... others are not so easy and quite a few are just flat out impossible like Ionar in the HoL.

    WoW! Thanks!

I've been macroing since release and I remember the old days when I built some rediculous macros with all of the unlimited text macro mods.

I did not know that a pause using a "," would allow pass through for another spell

Thanks so much. LOL I feel sorry for anyone on my server then because that's what's been holding me up for creating new macros. /LOL

More or less, yes. Do keep in mind, though, that these pauses do not trigger a GCD, so if you just have one comma, you cannot "spam" the button or it will be bypassed while you're waiting on a cooldown. To counter that, some of us use multiple commas to allow for key spamming. See the thread link I posted above for good examples.

I have a 3pally 2dk team at 75 and they seem to hold well enough in instances. The pallys spec ret and use divine storm alot, may be obvious but also talent into The Art of War. If you are critting alot you should almost always have 2-3 insta-cast Flash of light spells ready to spam the tank. When thats not enough I have set up 2 paladins with specific macros to alternate Flash and Holy Light. Forgive me if this is terribly obvious :P

Heroics the mobs hit alot harder.

My Tank is built with all of the best BoE's you can get.

I have 23k HP unbuffed now and 536 Defense which is all you need for 5 man heroics. My avoidance is over 50% without Holy Shield up, I have no issues tanking any mobs or bosses. The main issue I run into is lack of healing, I've since changed my macro arounds and so now there is long enough pauses and I can heal just fine.

Bosses are cake because of my gear, my DPS on the other hand is crap and so it's a slow kill but my tank does just fine and none of my palis die on bosses.

The only issue I really run into now is AoE's just destroy me beccause of them all being melee. Which is something I was a little concerned with when I made the team. But I really only built the Pali team for PvP not PvE. So I'm leveling up some hunters to swap out for PvE and going back to my old style PvE team.

But for PvP my paladins just own people.
