WIth the lock I am stacking stam gear. PVP and the Glacial frost resist gear. You gotta have some sort of run speed. I did the enchant on boots. Made a huge difference. You would think using the VW tanking would be usefuil but it wasn't really so what I do is run with the VW and hit the sacrifice shield. The shield was change so it doesn't kill him anymore and just takes a part of his health. I am going to try using demonic empowerment to increase his health and THEN shield. SHould even out. Kinda funny, but the FR gear comes in REALLY handy in SM since the casters there cast frostbolts and getting the slowing effect from them is terrible. Even worse is when they actually do SLOW you. I can't remember if pvp trinkets break the slow or what class you are but find something to break that slow. I cast a demonic circle in case I do get slowed. I then gather everyone up by my alts and Immolation Aura from Meta. Works AWESOME. SFK is by far the worst since if I get too far out in front of them they reset.

what about using a felhunter that can dispel slow on yourself? But you lose the VW shield.... Although now I'm wondering if it's really necessary. My warlock is pretty geared pvp wise and I can hit 22k health unbuffed, and with Fel Armor, the health regen should more than make up for the health loss that I get... plus there's soul link, and each dispel heals the dog and yourself (with glyph).

    Hello,

I am using a mage to boost my lowbie toons and I'm wondering how much can I pull without dying. My mage is not very geared, but this is the only level 80 toon I have on Alliance . About 12k hp unbuffed, 1k sp, frost specced.

    My schedule is as follows:
    1. Deadmines
    2. Stockade
    3. SM
    4. ZF? or is ST a better option?
    5. Stratholme? is this a good idea?
    6. Ramparts (can I even solo this one?)

For #5 and #6, I can ask my friend's protadin to switch in to boost instead if it's too troublesome for a mage, as long as it's not for too many levels. I don't want to bother him that much.

But for #1, I think I can 2 pull the entire instance safely. The whole door blasting thing makes it hard to 1 pull.
    For #2, I haven't tried yet but I think I can 1 pull.

Also, when you boost with mage, do you just pop Ice Barrier and run around while refreshing it as necessary? I am tempted to use rank 1 Frost nova to snare them in place sometimes so that I'm not taking that much hit, but I'm afraid if I do it too frequently it may kill a few mobs accidentally.
In my experience, that's too many instances. Yes, the XP will slow down near the last few green levels in an instance, but the time it takes to get your group to another instance and get set up, plus the hassle, plus your time to learn each instance and die several times to figure out the aggro radius and how much you can pull, not worth it. Keep it simple

Deadmines is not very good, too many turns, doors to open, elites are spread out, etc. I would highly recommend Shadowfang keep over anything, especially since you alts never have to be moved. You can go from 10-22 there in like 1 hour with RAF.

From 22-45, stay in SM. You'll slow down a bit from about 41-45, but I don't think it's worth hiking out to ZF or ST for 4 levels. At 45 you can do strat undead up to 60 and be done with it in a matter of hours

You should have no problem with all of those instances as an 80 frost mage. I did it with a 70 demo lock using immolation aura and seed of corruption

lol yea I finally hit that 5 instance thing yesterday when boosting non stop (I used to play just 30 mins at a time when in deadmines, I left my summoners at the door to start the chain of summoning)

when you're boosting with warlock, how are you doing it? do you tell VW to attack groups of mobs left and right, or do you just run through them and pop Immolation Aura in the end? having a lock is also nice because you can summon your main back after vendoring and repair
Just dot mobs up and the felguard burns them down. Not as fast as a single pull, but you can pull major sections at a time and be fine. Rain of fire can also take out large groups with ease. Tab>dot>tab>dot>tab, etc... Your felguard will never take any significant damage, and your only concern is mana, which is a laughably easy thing in places like DM. Any level 80 toon with AOE and semi decent gear can do it, really. They may not be able to pull a whole instance like a Pally can, but you can be pretty efficient with other classes that have AOE. When your white damage is close to their entire health bar, you really don't have many things to worry about.

My mage leveled some lowbies through DM and SM, just round up some mobs and arcane blast them down, or use Ice as described above ( i was doing it before dual spec).

as far as the low levelnew york escort instances, I used a shaman for this whole tihng, and I am still 4 manning Utgarde.. I had not trouble with #1-6, But you can not new york escort just jump and pull all of the stockades... THey do not hit hard, but they have this kick the pushes you down on the floor. When you start to getr 200 of them new york asian escort on you, they can start kicking you so much that you can not even new york asian escorts get up lol.. So just do it in 2 sections.. Thats the best way...

WIth a mix of pvp and pve gear I am at 24k on my horde lock and 22k on my alliance lock. On the alliance lock slow really isn't a problem because of "everyman for themself" and I also cast a summon portal which breaks CC and I use it at the waterfall so breaks LOS. The Horde lock is a little bit different since "will of the forsaken" doesn't break Slow. I hardly ever have a problem but when you get that many mobs beating on you hitting for 50-60 it does add up. The VW is mostly for that "oh crap" sitatuation. Also nice to save on the repair bill.

I am the king of run and dot'ing and in SM it just isn't fast enough. Pulling all at once is great. Ok well two. Suipid doors.
