I generally run an instance once or twice depending on how bad it is *cough* WC *cough* then I go and get all of the quests for said instance and I burn them down.

Running the instance the first few times is more to get a little bit more gear and xp, the only reason I get the quests later is because I don't like the instance grind and if I have the quests it forces me to go and run the instance once more.

But now that I think about it, instancing and questing are probably on par with each other, if you figure in travel time, dealing with gankers, etc. It just seems to take longer in an instance, so monotonous in there.
that quest is annoying even solo, after my 3rd trip through outlands I didnt ever do it again because the respawn rate is so slow even if you have no competition...

As I didnt spend much time in instances in pre-tbc areas I plan to instance grind my way to the top, Im currently only lvl 8 though. I feel that instances will help raise the learning curve considerably and force me to develope good solid strategies for solo pay when 5 boxing.

I've been using collection quests to help keep everyone even on experience. I took 4 of my boxers to SM along with my lvl 70 and got them all a level. Simply by doing the collection quests which pair up with killing quests I have almost brought all 5 to the same XP level again with very little extra effort.

An Alliance leveling guide is Jame's:

TBH I haven't ever got round to using it because apart from 45-58, I have done most of the alliance side about ten times with different characters. I have a good progression now.

Honestly at around 65 or so you'll be completely out of quests, even if you're doing a few collection quests. The best quest guide is really:

    1. Install whdb
    2. Take every quest in hellfire, then zangar, then terrokar, then nagrand, then bem, then netherstorm, then smv, and prepare to spend some rough spots doing instances or grinding.

Oh nice I was using Kopp's guide and the Lightheaded mod, but whdb looks very good.
