Default Experimenting with multibox healing - video

So I just got my tri-box Shaman team to 80 on Friday and outfitted them with the blue PvP craftables. Of course I'm badly undergeared for damage, so I decided to activate dual spec on everyone and try healing in AV. Main is a classic Resto spec while the slaves are both Dual Wield Chain Heal speced, including Chain Heal and Earthliving glyphs.

Here's a short video where we help defend the cap of the Aid Station and then assist with healing on the boss.

    YouTube Video - HD even!

protip : append '&fmt=22 to the end of youtube videos to link to the HD version.

One thing you can't see in the video because my lead Shaman is in a different group than the other two are the Healing Stream procs. With my other two Shamans being speced for Healing Stream bonus output, and carrying that extra Earthliving buff with Dual Wield, they are receiving just over 500hp/2sec (little over 250hp/2sec each totem). Not bad for essentially a fire-n-forget HoT.

TY for that. I wasn't aware you could direct link to it. Not that I would anyway, so slower connected people would get the normal view first. I thought the only way to get to the HD version was to click that HD button after loading the video.

Nice man.. you inspired me to finish up dual speccing my team and doing all resto. Just dropped 3500g for 3 more dual specs and some glyphs... it's a riot in AV and WG for sure... smaller BGs, just kinda wastes time

Out of curiosity, how are you performing the heals on your slave characters, do they all feed off the one GRID or do they have separate bindings, healing is one area where I'm lacking and you make it look effortless (and fun) in this vid.

Grid by itself, just monitors health, and gives you the option to target that toon via clicking on their box. I mean the addon can give you so much more information, but health is the main thing.

If you look at the video, he is selecting toons via the Grid, but then pressing his keyboard, which undoubtedly broadcasts the heals to the other toons.

You can combine Grid with something like Clique to make the clicking also do heals depending on how you click the Grid; basically make it perform like Healbot. If you were to do this, you'd need to broadcast your mouse clicks as well, and probably have the slaves with the same grid as you. For heal boxing, via Grid, its probably easiest to just use it for targeting. Click the heal on the keyboard with one hand, while selecting who needs the heal with the other via the mouse.

&hd=1 works too for HD link (and is a bit easier to remember than fmt 22 ;-) )
