I did mine as feral until 68 while collecting caster gear in outlands. Then switched to boomkin when I went to northrend. I liked kitty for the extra run speed, and once you get mangle your team pretty much one-shots everything.

All in how you wanna play. Some folks hate melee groups, some folks don't care one way or the other. /shrug
Some folks hate caster groups Well hate may be a bit strong, but they suck to quest with in comparison to melee groups.
