I despise any names that reference real life. They're invariably in bad taste, unimaginative or both.

The funniest name I remember coming across - which now appears to be be consigned to arena teams according to the Armory - is My Little Pwny. I've no idea why, but it always makes me grin

This one was only awesome because it was me and my roommate's guild for the short period of time when they made it so everyone in the group got faction gains, but before they put the level restriction on the Furbolg mace. So our Level 19 Rogue twinks were 3 shoting everyone in the bracket. God that was awesome

A few years ago I named a guild <Panty Raid>. It got removed by a GM. I feel like I have matured a lot since then.

My first WoW guild was <Paladins are Gay>, which I helped make with some friends. The guild name lasted several months before someone finally reported it and a GM disbanded us. We formed a new guild called <PaG> after that, and very few people ever had to ask what it stood for.
