I quit boxing like 6 months ago. Seeing as some people seem to have fun in 5v5.. I'm thinking about taking it up again.
Is it worth it? How active is the 5v5 bracket?

Dont bother. Stay away and enjoy real life. Only a few people are doing well. If I had every slot equiped with the best gear I still would be bored. I get the itch to play but then I see all the stuff I have to do in real life and I dont have time. Plus I am doing other things like playing Golf and drinking craft beers.

A few of us are doing well in 5s. Its doable, yes... but very very difficult at the moment. I had a really bad day of games on Thursday, and it just ruins my whole attitude when that happens because of how hard I work on my arena setup.
It still feels great to own some noobs, but it's very hard to do so at high ratings. Much worse than season 2-4 was due to all the dmg out there.
However, in response to you questions: 5s are definately more active than season 5. If you have the patience, skill, and perfect setup - you can still do well. Just dont expect free rating like in BC.

5v5 is fun, but less fun then TBC.
Yeah.. 5v5 is what me keeps me multiboxing.
Plus shaman changes are cool.

I find it odd that the people who are negative about boxing in arenas only complain about not getting the "free" ratings. It's a game and you're going to lose and win depending on changes made, gear level, and team makeup, boxing is fun because of the challenge not because of what is given to you. If you want to play, have fun ratings will come and go, in the big scheme of things it doesn't matter, it's not like you'll be paid less at work for losing everytime. I have a perfect 0-<insert really big number> record and still have a ton of fun. I just enjoy the time away from work playing a game.
I always enjoyed your insight magwo.Originally Posted by 'magwo',index.php?page=Thread&postID=210457#post21 0457
With the killing off of 2v2, 3s/5s will be even more active . They mentioned again about rated BGs which I think would be great for boxxers. The changes they are making are moving it slowly back to BC and I think that is a good thing.
I don't think anyone is being negative. I'm giving Magwo an honest view of current 5s. And I'm not complaining about "free ratings" lol... I've worked my ass off and hit 2k this season. One of the 2 boxers in the world to do so... so I'll pretty much say whatever I want, because it comes from experience. The complaints, if any, are towards the growing imbalance of aoe CC/DMG to survivability since Wrath.Originally Posted by 'Bettysue',index.php?page=Thread&postID=210497#pos t210497
And I doubt Mag was asking "Is it possible to come back and lose 100% of my games?". Of course anyone can do that. I think he was asking if WINNING was viable. Troll elsewhere.

Thanks.
I might actually start boxing again if they make rated BGs.. that sounds like a lot of fun.
