Did anybody notice the note where it says that t9 items will all drop from one piece? (Rather than a chest piece, a head piece, etc that you turn in for the item). I wonder if that means that triumph emblems wont allow you to purchase tier pieces, since putting the item up there would essentially allow you to get the entire set from emblems.
Its both - go check mmo-champion.

1 token, or "X" number of badges - everything is purchasable from badges too - so everyone can get the full set eventually, provided they can at least do a little of the content.
So just to clarify: everyone can get a full tier 9 just from doing heroics?
The tier 9 badges (triumph) are from the heroic daily quest, normal heroic drops are conquest. So yes, you can get full tier 9 (2nd and 3rd levels of tier 9, top level is drop token drops only) from only triumph badges. However doing so by doing only the heroic daily will take quite awhile at 2 badges a day. Originally they said the regular daily instance quest would also drop 1 triumph, but it is conquest on PTR atm. Everything beyond the new normal 10 man modes will also drop them, so they shouldn't be that hard to come by.

... never done any of the argent tournament stuff tho - aAt 2 hrs/day, how long am i looking at?
Well, to become champion, you'd need a total of 8 days of dailies iirc. 3 days for valiant, another 5 for champion. The flying quest is kinda long, but you get 2 tokens. You need 15 tokens for valiant (3 quests available) and 25 for champion (4 quests). Should be doable within 30 minutes per day I'd guess. Each quest is 250 rep with one of the cities (+25% for all others).
As soon as you are champion, you get access to 4 more quests, 2 of them are almost the same as the valiant ones, so you are completing 2x2 at the same time. The champion's quests (+2 the two valiant ones) are about 10-12 minutes as long as you skip the jousting champion one. Per champion quest you got to choose between a bag with 10 gold + a random champion's seal, or champion's writ. You can buy 250 rep (+25% other cities as well) with 1 writ.

i'd love to see some concrete information on the cost of those 10%xp heirloom chest pieces. They say it can be bought on the PTR for 40 badges, but other sites are saying it requires the crusader title. I'm not exalted with any faction yet and there's no way i would spend months of grinding rep just to get that heriloom chest piece for my alts. Seems odd that blizz would have such heavy requirements for those heirloom pieces when you will now be able to get so much of the previously-unattainable-to-non-raiders gear with the new badge system.
It's not that unusual. Blizzard often puts in stuff that requires a lot of grinding, then later on they change it to make it much easier. The whole idea is to keep people logging in and chasing the carrot. Once they have another carrot to chase, they usually back down on the requirements of the older stuff. If you want it now, you will have to grind grind grind.

Cool change to Cold Weather Flying for level 80's who have lower level alts. Our lower alts on the same account will be able to fly throughout their Northrend experience when 3.2 comes out if this goes live.

Quote from: Zarhym: (from Blizzard) "Just to confirm, Tome of Cold Weather Flight is actually a new heirloom item planned to go into patch 3.2. At level 80 players can buy this heirloom item from the Cold Weather Flying Trainer in Dalaran for 1,000 gold and send it to an alt of the same realm, faction and account. The tome can be used to learn Cold Weather Flying at level 68, consuming the tome in the process.

Please note this feature is not yet in the newest version of the public test realm patch notes updated today. The item and its functionality are subject to change during the testing process."

    From latest PTR build:
    • Shaman
      • Earth Shock: Redesigned. This spell no longer interrupts spell casting, but rather reduces melee attack speed by 10% for 8 seconds (exclusive with similar effects such as Thunder Clap).
      • Wind Shock: Has been renamed Wind Shear and no longer shares a cooldown with Flame, Frost or Earth Shock.
      • Maelstrom Weapon: Now also has a chance to reduce the cast time of Hex.

    spiffy!

Now has a chance to reduce hex cast time? Uh, neat.

Didn't they say Wind Shear will interrupt casting, or did they remove that?

wind shear is wind shock renamed and taken off the common shock cooldown - yay!

edit : so yea - it's still an interrupt, it just won't lock up your DPS shock rotation.
