Default "Best" days to make Arenas - 5v5

Ok, so this topic has been bugging me for a while...
Most people say that best days to play arenas are sunday, moderately monday and the best of all, tuesday (this is EU, guess US is one day difference).
I understand the argument that worst teams play at that time, in average.

What I have a harder time to understand is why the supposedly "bad" teams don't play the other days too...
I'd really like to hear your opinions on that, since, again, I really lack experience to make even a statement here.

Adding a bit to the discussion, isn't it also really rating dependant? I mean, when you're higher rated, is it still worth playing those days?

I'm lost, thanks for any insight and gl all.

"Bad" teams dont plan ahead, and always get together to do games at the last minute before maintenance/points rollover. So for the US realms, on monday afternoon/evening you will have a much larger pool of teams to face. "Casual" players also get a piece of gear tuesday morning... freak out and wanna use it right away, so sometimes tuesdays are also good right AFTER the rollover.

Best I can figure it. I know last monday night we got tons of teams playing... and just crushed people.

its too simple... People just put together teams on Sunday and Monday. Same guy who owns the team will grab whoever he can find to play games. Theese teams don't play together every week so they are usually new playing with each other and are not on the same page most of the time. Also for higher rated teams, lets say its Monday and you still haven't played games for the week 4 guys on your team are on so you find a filler.

One problem we have on Monday nights is the new, "unorganized" teams just formed that night are often 2k 2v2 and 3v3 players, or raiders in tier 8. We run into some crazy geared teams, cleave comps or rogue FoK gimmick teams with a 100 rating that'll take points from us no problem

And somehow we always get ring of valor with these teams, so even if they're sloppy they can just charge in and throw tier 8 weapons in our face and all my shaman explode

I'm bad and I play tuesday evening to get it over with asap - ie I spend the previous week points to get a new item, gem it if I have some gems in stock, then proceed to loose my next 10 matches - I haven't won a single match yet :-) I did finally kill *1*/5 :-) next milestone will be to kill 2/5 :-)

Maybe I should try Sunday/Monday instead

Good point of being a beginner with 0 rating : nothing to lose, I can play (read, get beaten) any time I want.

For your information, I usually do my arena runs on Sunday afternoons, when a lot of people are playing, and I get the dreadful "no more instances can be launched, please try again later" message on my PVE group. That could be a good time to farm easy victories.

Deekay i play in the same bg as you and i would recomend you to play monday/tuesday evening for rating.

Sunday evening is by the far hardest day to play but its nice training, the last sunday i played i lost 75% of the games i played but i went up about 30 rating due to them beeing 2300-2400 in matchmaking value.

Misery is a big battlegroup and if you play 15:00 any day you pretty much face atleast 4-5 teams even at my rating.

I found that it didn't really matter what day I played on, but the time I played made a huge difference.

I work during the day and play during the night. I consider myself to be fairly skilled...I have a 2k rating and I top the charts, by far, in the BGs. I used to do 2v2s with my wifes cousin, when I got home from work. We would do okay, but the longer we played, the harder it was. We were struggling to keep an 1700 rating. We would start at 9pm server time and end at 3-4am server time. At times, we would drop below a 1700 and sometimes we could hit 1800, but ultimately we were stuck around 1700. I thought it was that my partner sucked, so we both agreed to try with different people...so we did...same results. I played a rogue...so I did rogue/priest, rogue/mage and rogue/paladin(healer). Same results... very frustrating.

Recently, I've changed my work schedule so I am able to get home a little earlier in the day. We picked back up and found that we tend to win a lot before 5pm server time. Even on the weekends, the same held true. If I played in the mornings, I would stomp people. If I played thru the hours of the night, the teams were just way too competitive. We eventually worked up a 2k rating by not playing at night. I think it has a lot to do with the type of players at the times we played.

Most of the hardcore arena junkies, which I like to refer to as "WoW-crack-addicts", played late at night; like I used to =). Typically adults who had nothing else to do and generally don't have a bedtime. Also, this was the time that hardcores in China/Korea get on (12am for me was 3pm for them). When I played early enough, I found that most of the people were the casual WoW players, just trying to get their 10 games in...usually kids out of school, or just woke up on a weekend.

My advice to you... play as early as possible in the day (if you're on US time; otherwise you'll need to find that right time).

Thank you so much for your feedback everyone .

Dominian, specially due to being in my BG . I did 2-19 yesterday but I still climbed 15 rating points .
Most defeats was against an ulduar geared team and it sucked - you know, Ulduar, the highest level arena/battleground where people go get gear for pvping  .
I need to make a lot of matches and since at this rating, rating losses aren't huge everything counts and the risk isn't high.

And overall, yes, even with this S6 short experience Monday and Tuesday are still winners ^^.
