My main has all details on, all but shadow which is around 40%. The 4 others are on lowest possible

Shadows destroy me when running a single client on my C2D e8400 @ 3GHz w/ 8 GB of RAM and an nVidia GTX 260. Turned Shadows to zero when I figured out it was killing me in Dalaran. Everything else is maxed on my end though. Again...this is for single client as I don't have my multiboxing characters up there yet.

Your setup should be running everything without so much cpu usage, keep a constant look at your system processes and see whats killing you.

Hint to improve performance in Dalaran:
Make your other toons look straight downward (for me, that means flipping mouse repeat on in IS long enough to mouselook). Your FPS should shoot up on all windows.
