I've been introduced to a game, which unfortunately I don't even know the name of.
Basically both wondering if anyone has the name of it, and am also sharing with the community.

- It is a two player game, played on a 4x4 grid.

- Each player has four identical pieces, which start on opposing diagonals.
(Player 1: A1, B2, C3, D4) and (Player 2: A4, B3, C2, D1).

- Either player starts, thereafter they alternate until one player wins.

- A piece is moved by sliding it horizontally or vertically (but never diagonally), however a piece must slide as far as it can go.
The piece ends it move, when it comes into contact with another piece or the edge of the board.

- You win by occupying all four corners, or by forming 4 in a row (vertically or horizontally) or by forming a 2x2 box.

Seems to be a pretty simple game. However if one player plays defensively, it seems impossible or at least really hard to win.
Was introduced to it, on a camping trip. Googling the game rules has way too many hits.
I'm curious if there are any strategies to the game, heck I'm curious what it is called even.
