x3 or x5 best desk setup..?

Hey,

i've bin getting alot of questions answered just by looking around on the forum,
but i came up with my next question..
If i wanna be focussing on a lets say basic 3x shaman team.


What setup as inamount of screens keyboards and mouses do u guys use?
i've seen desks and i saw like 4/5 computers standing there and 5 mouses or 3 keyboards..
So it made me confused..



ATM i can get acces to 2x 28 inch widescreens.
2x keyboards 2x mouses.
and if needed another computer.

If i dont aim to have a master, wouldn't windowmode 1 keyboard 1 mouse be enough? for a x3 shaman setup..


lets say i wanted to go x5 as in master 4 toons

and im plugging my 2nd screen for x4 toons, and use my main screen for the master.
Would i need more mouses keyboards or w/e?
Also if i add a 2nd keyboard for the macro's
what would that do? i mean its 2x keyboards so if i press "2" on one wouldn't it be automaticly the same on the other keyboard?
I hope someone gets the last part xD.

I prefer 1 good computer.

My setup is: 1 Computer with 2 screens. (Samsung SyncMaster 204b)

The resolution is 1600x1200 so i can put my main 1600x1200 mainscreen fullscreen, 4 alts 800x600 on 2nd 4 times.

Also with keyclone you can easely switch windows to full screen regions, this is not possible with multiple pcs.

I suggest you to take 4gb+ ram if your going to walk in dalaran/do AV

no worries about "a good pc"

just wondered since i really see loads of rifs with like 3/4 mouses loads of keyboards.



As for my 2nd question.

if i use 2 keyboards and i press 2 on one is it linked to my other keyboard aswell?

of can i set up different macro's on that one..

I have one computer, one screen, a main window for the leader, and four litlle thumbnail views on the right part of the screen. The Picture in Picture (PiP) option in Octopus lets me switch main easily in case the leader dies.

This one is quite old, but it still looks pretty much like that :



For the rest, I use a Logitech G13, with thumb stick for directions and 24 available keys, and a G9 mouse, with shift and control on the thumb button.

The only thing I could change in a relatively close future is the screen. I could go for 30'. For the rest, I am very happy with my set-up.

I also run 3 Shamans on 1 PC with 2 Screens.

ATM I'm leveling a 4th.
