Default Shamans and arenas - 2v2 and 3v3

I currently have two level 70 shamans and plan on getting a third. My question is how good do you think doing areans with all elemental shamans would be in 2v2 or 3v3? I did a coupe skirmishes today and won but it was against the same holy/disc priest and shadow priest, plus I think they didn't know wth they were doing at all.

shamans have decent staying power and such but in arenas its hard to make up for the fact that your opponents are seperately controlled. Unless you can control them seperately (hardware multibox using 2 keyboards on seperate PCs) so they can move around on their own and not having to stand right next to each other you will be hard pressed to get very far. And with the changes to the S3 gear (weapons and shoulders requiring a certain rating) arena has become pretty fierce. So if you do it just do it because you want to have fun nt because you think you will top the charts

Hopefully when I get into arenas it all goes well. But it will take a lot of practice.

Ya I get a feeling the first time I go up against a regular team that has some experience I'll get hammered. Maybe I'll do something like what ellay does and find a buddy in my guild to heal.

Shamans rock in 5v5, and suck in 2v2.

This isn't a multiboxing problem, it's just general utility of the shaman class. A heroism is alot bigger when it's hitting 5 people than 2. Totems buff 5 people. No CC. No anti-CC.

It's not impossible, just rougher than most classes.

But WoW, apparently, wasn't balanced with dueling/2v2/3v3 in mind.

I don't think shammies would work.

The only classes that have a chance in 2v2 and 3v3 are Locks
And maybe mages if you spec them full frost and go aoe on their asses or in 3v3 go pom pyro on their asses.
I don't know about boomkin and shadow priests but i guess they could work.

Doesn't seem to be balanced for 5v5 either.

A few months ago hunters, rogues and druids were the least used classes in the top 20% of 5v5 with warriors and paladins in almost every 5v5. There has been a few patches since then though, changed much?

lock+pally, or spriest+pally I see a lot. face melting dps and a plate wearing healer are hard combos to beat

I think it's more about the damage output. Five shamans is viable in 5v5 because five attacks can burn through 10-15K HP pretty quickly, at which point you escape and do it again a short time later.

In 2v2 or 3v3, everyone has the same amount of HP, but you have less shamans and can't burn someone down anymore. That makes the fights longer and more dependent on kiting and CC, which a multibox group is terrible at.
