Default FTL vs any other for leveling

    Hello,

yesterday i tryd to setup FTL for a quick play for the rest of the evening. it took me total of 3 hours to find out how keymapping works/ all the other stuf that comes looking with it.
now i found out that for every spell i need to make 5x5 keymaps per spell.. and during the leveling i dont want to spend 1 hour to add 3 spells i just learned from the trainer. is there a quicker way to set this up? or anyone has some advice because i realy find FTL great with leveling because i can change main any time but if i have to set up every time i get a new spell i considder using focus and change to FTL at 80 since i have all spells then.

also could anyone give me a link or any information about pip.

    Thanks in advance

    Greetings,
    Ogil

There are different ways to setup FTL - some are very time consuming, others not so much. The tools for ISBoxer let you setup FTL very quickly and easily and make changes to it just as easily.

zanthor thanks again for the reply.

now my next question pops up: tryed search and looked at the "guides" but cant find any info about ISboxer. im sorry but im realy new to all this if someone could supply me with some info links and il figure it out. atm im only using keyclone and macaroon i got it working. its just a hell of a job to put it all in keyclone for each ability.

    thanks in advance.

    Greetings,
    Ogil

EDIT: i found some info about ISboxer. but do i realy need innerspace? cuzz im not feeling to pay to be able to use FTL. then il just go for focus. il setup FTL at 80 manual.

Use the /click method (search the forum and you'll find more information).

Basically you have one button on your toolbar that takes care of all your targeting. The macro is something like this:

    /assist [mod:rctrl]Curiously, [mod:lshift]Strong, [mod:ralt]Owltoid

Then all your other macros just have something like the following:
/click Button123 (sorry, don't have the syntax in front of me)
    /cast Lightning Bolt
    Owltoid, Thatblueguy, Thisblueguy, Otherblueguy, Whichblueguy

Owltoid ur a genius (atleast compared to my intelect) :P

dident even think about this. i just mash the assist/follow macro and il be fine.
this is all i needed thanks alot both of u.

i just keymap 2 macros follow and assist and il be going to 80

    thnx alot,

if you don't use your /focus for cc, you could use the focus based macros, which are much simpler to set up and don't take nearly that much maintenance with new targeted spells.

when i pip swap, i tie my focus change to the same keys... so my toon in the main screen controls targeting.

the macro is as simple as:

    /cast [target=focustarget] fireball

and to set your leader on pip swap, you need to make a macro per character and associate it with the pip swap keys.
ie: (assuming joe is your character associated with your wow1)

    /focus joe

and associate it with your wow1 pip swap key. it's much simpler.

FTL once set up, seems to be infinitely more powerful then any other set up.
However, it is rather complicated compared to the other set ups, so I've passed on it so far.

If you want to do seriouse pvp focus is awsome for the arena.. A pip swap makes me lose overview of the current game even if its nearly instant.

Apart from that i never used focus apart from ccing a few mobs when i was undergeared in pve but you realy want CC in heroic oculus.

Once you do the assist call and use a /click for that or whatever, i think FTL is pretty easy. Especially with macaroon. Once you get to 40 you will have a majority of your spells and it wont be very hard or tedious.

FTL is worth it, I love it. On the other side, its one reason I dont respect to other thing very often ;p. It gets easier the more you do it, just try it out and hang in there you wont be disapointted.
