Im sorry, but I dont agree with going engineering to get the pyro-rocket as an addition to our burst, mainly because of the GCD issue. The IWIN button takes long enough to get off already, and instead of the 3rd spell global being used to cast rocket, in the same amount of time the third spell can be CL, giving you more guaranteed dmg +chance to proc/crit. Not to mention you have to sacrafice overall spelldmg from gloves enchant anyway to get the rocket, slightly gimping yourself in the process. I much prefer my +stats from JC and Enchanting on my shamans as I truly believe these are the best 2 profs to min/max yourself for 5v5.... although i will admit they are 1, if not 2 of the toughest profs to level.

I say this so people looking to level professions (clarification: IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO MAX URSELF FOR 5v5!!), don't get fooled into going down the engineering route because it sounds like another addition to the Iwin button, its not imo. I much prefer my +38-39 spellpower (per profession).

Best thing you can do is sit down, and plan out what is the best for you. Read up and do the math before spending any gold. I prefer dependable, constant stats/dps - so I went with +SP from profs. If you think you'll use the rocket for other reasons, go for it!

the rockets are not on the global cd and do more damage than an activated +spellpower trinket + EM instantlavaburst.
you can use the rockets with your EM instantlavaburst at the same time and they can crit for ~2,4k (depends on resilence)
and you can blow up a rogue with low health even if he had cloak of shadows activated, the rockets go instant through this fucking cloak in the face of this damn rogue D (with other words: he cant resist the pyro rockets with cloak of shadows)
i payed ~ 7k gold for engineering 1-425 on my 4 toons but you only need 400 for the pyrorockets. i love them couse they are not on the global cd and have only 45sec cooldown so you can kill another low life target for example with frostshock+pyrorockets
and the best: you can cast the pyrorockets while you are in ghostwolf and the pyrorockets have 45yards range

Ok well every post I've seen about the pyro-rocket says they eat a GCD. So I'll have to do some more lookin around to make sure of this.

EDIT: Talked to some engineers, think I got it clarified. So you can use it with any spell/macro. BUT it shares a GCD with clickable trinkets and other engineering items. So I would have to drop my 440spellpower burst trinket from each guy, plus losing the 28spellpower from gloves. I know a 2k guaranteed hit would be nice, but sacrificing 468 spellpower per toon is still considerable, if you think about the fact that most of my damage in those first 20seconds is lightning/shocks.

Ugh. I'll have to do the math on this some more, and test it out on an alt perhaps. Main thing I would love it for is finishing off warlocks who are usually at 30% health after my burst because of nether prot, but F droping max ench/JC if it is only a small upgrade in dmg.

Usually that is why people dont use clickable trinkets when they are going to use Hand Rockets. WG/Death is good combo and WG/BM is also ok(only hit it when you need to) there are a ton of trinkets where you dont have to hit the trinket that are better overall than the one you have to activate.
