Default Using a projector to play WoW/multibox, worth trying?

Has anyone considered using a projector on a wall or screen instead of a monitor to multibox? I've never played a PC game with a projector, but I know movies show up quite well. I was wondering if the clarity is good enough to play wow effectively. This would be a nice alternative to sectioning off a monitor or monitors since the size would be much larger.

My experience with Pc games and progectors is that it dosnt work with most games, its RILY!! good with car games (need for speed) and first preson shooters (CS, Doom, ect) and can be pritty nice with footballgames (Ps 2/3 pref XD) but wen it comes to games with lots of numbers, boxis, signs and taht cind of crap projectors dont rily cut it :S

I have experince with this and I have to agree with skuggomann. RTS games are great too, like warcraft/C&C rise of nations or w/e best ones being the action games like racing and sports and FPS are excellent but due to the resolution limit and distance oyu must be fromt eh projected image it wont do you much good for WoW, unless you dont care about being able to read things on the screen

I have a 720p projector that displays on a 110" screen (permanent mount). I went ahead and tried WoW on it... and I'd have to agree. You really can't read the quest text etc when you are sitting at a normal distance. The 1080p projectors would have a better resolution, but essentially your eye strain gets to the point where you get frustrated.

    Good luck

Thanks for the insight. I was just wondering if it would work. I have seen it in work quite well for FPS games, but thought the image would be too blurry to read and pick up on fine detail. I do eventually plan on aquiring a projector for movies and some gaming. I guess I can delay my purchase for now since I wont benefit as much compared to a 2nd monitor. I have a 24" Widescreen LCD right now, so I'm thinking about 2 17" LCDs to go on either side instead of a 2nd 24" due to lack of space and current prices. I appreciate you input on the subject.

cut the distance to 1 yard then it will be fine...
