Great game me and a bunch of wow players all played since China Release.

Most of us has stopped playing and now waiting for US release in Sept. If you want to get into the open Beta, you can pre-order a copy and most sites should have a special for a Beta key. Now the beta is only limited to level 10, but atleast you can get a feel for the game and it's graphics.

/LOL No there is no wow killer out there. That's like saying the next O/S out is a Microsoft Killer.

Not going to happen, unless blizzard releases a new game that kills WoW themselves.

AION is a Korean Grinder

Which means alot of hack and slash to level your toons. They have somes questing but not like wow, you can level by quest pretty much to start the game up till around 15 or so and then the quest become group quests and to hard to solo. I played as a chanter (kind of like a paladin) DPS/Healer and I'm a very good player but still would get stuck on quests and had to group with friends to level. And alot of the time I would just grind as it's faster and easier then questing.

Once you reach around 25+ You get to enter the abyss and start PvP. The game is like warhammer where you pretty much PvP end game not much raid content.

WoW is a Raiding / questing game and not so much PvP. Most of the other games out are all designed around PvP content and so their PvP is great.

One really cool aspect of the game is the whole Flying thing as you can flight in the air and all of that stuff. I would expect blizzard to maybe add this into wow at some point as they tend to incorporate anything good any other company releases to keep customers in their game. Pretty much Blizzard is just like Microsoft and always adding other peoples stuff into their products for Free on next release. :P

Still a really fun game but not one I expect people to stay on to long and return back to wow once they get bored. It will be another Warhammer with a few million playing but still a good game.

I don't know why people keep asking if various games are going to be "WoW Killers" but I guess that's your definition of that term. To me a WoW Killer would be a game that completely takes all the customers away from WoW which I don't ever see any game doing with the very slight exception of this mysterious "Next Gen" MMO Blizzard is currently working on. Otherwise no other game is ever going to "Kill" WoW. I mean shoot if you look at it this way once WoW came out a ton of people jumped ship from EQ but that game didn't die over night and even to this day they still have a fair number of servers open.

Gotta say, not a WoW-killer. I hit level 12 and my impressions so far :

Needs a tutorial. There's a lot of things that I had to go running off to google.

It's pretty much designed to play itself. Macros can be made for 1-touch combat. My I-win Button :

I press 1 once and go through that entire sequence, from engaging my target all the way to looting it. Yeah, you can also auto-target and auto rest.

So far, it doesn't feel like an MMO. It's very hack and slash, and I've yet to feel like I'm really exploring anything. You move from one hub to another gathering quests and killing everything in sight. I told my husband, it's like if you took 100 Deathknells and strung em together. Gather the quests, walk around in a circle outside town killing stuff, turn in, go to Deathknell2.

You get XP from gathering. I ran around the starter area doing nothing but picking herbs and gained 2 levels just doing that.

Interface isn't bad, I like being able to find where I need to go through the hotlinks. You can track 7 quests at a time, grapics are nice. But all in all, I'm going to take a pass on the game as a whole. It just felt pretty bland to me.
