Default 3 Hours of Work for a Level 60

I've got a couple of 10-box teams, so haven't really thought about RAF for a while now - last one ran out in Oct 08.

But recently I thought it might be nice to have a few more options in terms of classes, so I bought two more accounts and linked them (A invited B, C invited D, powerleveled by E).

My first four toons hit level 60 yesterday and with just 12 hours /played (I'm sure at least an hour of that was AFK). So that's 3 hours of effort per level 60. I'm happily surprised it is that quick and easy 8) And that's with no gifting - it is actually creating levels to gift as a free bonus.

All I did was summon them all to the BElf starting zone, quest with my 80 hunter leading (for speed and quick kills) through level 20, then used my 80 Paladin in SM from 20-45, then stayed with my Paladin in Stratholme from 45-60. Really amazingly easy.

I had kind of dreaded doing it, so was very pleasantly surprised with how it worked out. 4 days into my RAF and I'm almost done.

Heck, I might just make a 60 of every possible class/race combination (um... not)

yes, it gets easier once u have an 80 boosting. my personal best was 8h 55m for boosting 4x. according to your formula (time played divided by 4 = time spent to produce 1 level 60), then i would've spent 2h 15m per toon at that rate!

just goes to show how awesome RAF is.
Calling me a noob would be an understatement...

    Nicely done.

Last time I RaF'd a group was about the time you did (Q4 '08) and although I absolutely loved the race to 60, it just made the grind from 60 to 70 feel so much worse :(

And don't get me started on the 70 to 80...

I don't see me starting any new characters ever again!

As a launch customer (meaning I've been playing WoW since the beginnging) RAF is both a brilliant marketing scheme and an EXTREMELY RUDE gesture to long term account holders. You would think about 10+ lvl 70 characters, you'd get a freebie or something. But no, you get the choice of spending more money on another account. /yay

And yes, I am a bit bitter about it. If I could spend $20 on an existing account to enable RAF leveling, I'd be happy.
I've noticed the only thing blizzard does for long time customers is nerf their favorite classes. While at the same time allowing facerolling classes like DK's to continue being overpowered so the new customers can win.

Edit- I played warrior since vanilla so it makes me very mad that warriors get nerfed the second they are able to beat a damn dk.

RAF was announced literally 1 week after I purchased my additional accounts.

I'm with you... and, like you, I'd be happy to send 20 bucks or so to enable RAF on my existing accounts.

Grats on that. But you created two new TBC accounts so you could quest in the BElf zone? Wasn't that a bit pricey for throwaway accounts or do you have some future use for them planned?

Just curious, as when my pally/priest duo hits 80 I plan to use the 80 pally to boots two pairs of toons to 60 but only one of them will be a WotLK account, the 3rd account will be a brand new, throwaway vanilla-WOW account.

(IE I already own A & B, both WotLK. Paladin is on A. B will refer C, so they'll have the link and A will boost them).

    Foreground (prot) armory
    Middleground(demo) armory

I feel your pain. My warrior is at 72 right now - and I'm debating on leveling him or not to 80 - due to the constantly (more than any other class) changing dynamics.
Yea same here actually, I have a 70 fury warrior that I was going to toss into my 5 pally group for the extra 5% crit plus commanding shout to see how it goes, but they keep screwing with fury so much I'm wondering if the 5% crit on the 4 pallies will be enough to offset the damage/healing loss of the 4th Ret pally.

I'd pay twice that if I had to.
