Default Window Layout for Instancing w/Mouse

    Moved from other thread:

Okay, so I get my first set of 4 DK's to 72-73 and decided to do an instance run through Nexus with a pally buddy healing me. I was doing great on every boss pull until... the big K, the last boss, Keristrasza who thoroughly destroyed me.

The reason is that I have to learn better position control. I did make some adjustments to how my follow worked and had one DK lead the DPS'ers to her side while my DK tank ran to hold on the front. But that is where it always fell apart for me.

So, to help get this working better, I came up with an idea to do a layout in my Windows Layout that allows me to freely switch from various alts(dps'ers) without affecting the tank window. Here is where the problems begin with for that, while the layout is great and everything works the way I want it to in the layout, the mouse repeating is disastrous. While I only use mouse repeating about 5% of the time in a fight, with DK's that is a lot of damage.

Let me explain the problem, my DK tank is on my main monitor, and to the left of my main is where my three DK DPS'ers are, with a main window.
No swapping for my DK tank, and on the other screen I have a large view above two smaller windows.

So, with the Tank being window 4 mouse repeating doesn't work, I have no way to tell it that when I'm on the tank to repeat the cursor position but it works for DPS window 1 as it would normally. Is there a way around this to turn on mouse repeater for window regions other than 1?

Thanks for any assistance on this in advance.

I really wish people would start new threads instead of posting all of their questions on this thread!

Here's the trick: Set a Desired rendering resolution in your Window Layout, and then they will all technically be the same size, and therefore mouse repeat will work as desired.
Lax, I moved the thread as I see your point.

Size is not the issue, this is more of a feature thing.

I'm trying to find out if I could make session 4 the primary as my mouse is over that window and then change the mouse to primary over the first session. Understand that session 4 does not move from the monitor it's running on. Currently, it will only mouse repeat if I'm over the first session. I hope that clears up the question.

You can repeat from any given window, to any given set of windows.

If you use a "Current Window" activation hotkey, then it is only enabled from that window. If you use an "All Windows" activation hotkey, then it is enabled from all windows. (See Repeater Hotkeys page)

You can get as specific as you like as far as repeating from and to, by creating your own Mapped Keys with Repeater Actions. Repeater State will let you repeat FROM a given set of windows, and Repeater Target will let you repeat TO a given set of windows, for example.

Thank Lax, that helped, I was able to find the information I needed to make it work for me.

BTW. Really great product, that's why I signed up for another year.
