Being devil's advocate here but I do not remember reading anything about having to be a good fit or providing anything of benefit to this website when signing up.

Moorea, if you look at Sam's third post on the subject, he clearly says "So for $1500 you have a screaming system with which on paper would have no texture lag." Anyone who actually reads the thread and still spends the money on theory crafting (which is not barred on these forums) deserves to have the money wasted if it does end up being a waste, regardless of who they want to blame.
