Default Is 5 box with 5 different classes too hard? Doable?

I'm thinking of 5 boxing to raise up some new characters quickly as possible, warrior, priest, pally, mage, hunter (or shaman)

Any thoughts, and tips. Been playing with some trial accounts and using keyclone, seems possible and interesting.

    Thanks!

Lots of people are 5 boxing with an all-mix team. Probably harder than just doing 1x Pala + 4x Shamans, but probably alot more rewarding imo.

Running a mixed team through Ramps the first time was a blast with a mixed team. (see signature.)
Keeping DoTs up and using Eclipse and Hot Streak proccs all at once while tanking and healing is doable and fun once you get it down.

I am running a mixed team, all different classes (and races too).
It is very doable, the only real problem is that you have to be (at least a little) an expert in 5 different classes to mix macros and abilities and get the most out of your group.

If you feel confident in your wow knowledge / your research skills definitively go for it, way more fun (for me, at least).

PvE wise It's fun indeed and I don't find it hard at all. I got dps castsequences bind on Mouse-wheel-up, priest healing on mouse wheel down, and need to care just about moving and dispelling. I've leveled through all classic instances up to Scholo now and wiped just twice on hard bosses so far. It's not just about the pure dps, but also about the tools and buffs some classes bring to the team. Only disadvantages are multiple class quests and class trainers in various cities, but it can be cowered by warlock summons.

    My perspective is here
80 Blood Elf Paladin, 80 Blood Elf Priest,80 Troll Mage, 80 Undead Warlock, 80 Tauren Druid, 80 Undead Rogue
    80 x4 Shaman (Orc x3, Troll)

With different classes you get alot of different buffs as well. You could easily make one botton dps with a nice /cast sequence macro for all your toons.

My team is in my sig, and a screenshot as my avatar (screenshot has my warlock instead of druid at the time of this post).

I hate using the word "hard" to describe the difference. I think the difficulty is exactly the same. You may need more macros, but I think you gain better synergy and versatility. But, it definitely takes more time to research each class and work out all the unique macros.

it's only harder in the sense of figuring out what combinations and macros to run

I run a this mixed team

    DK tank
    boomkin
    ele shan
    frost mage
    disc priest

I used to run the standard prot pali 4 sham.

With a mixed group theres pros and cons, heres a few:

    Pro:
    Buffs
More utility - lots of different CC, dispells for all kinds of debuffs, with duel specing being able to swop from 1 tank 1 healer 3 dps to 2 tansk 2 healers 1 dps if needed and lots more
different armour types means when an epic drops there less chance it goes to waste
solo play - with 5 different classes when u fancy playing solo you have more choice

    cons
class weaknesses - e.g. arcane mages suffer from mana usage meaning when 1 char needs to drink you all have to wait
proc based dps - mages / boomkin etc depening on spec gain a lot of dps from rpocs which are very hard to manage as a MBer, though saying that i dont spec for procs or use them if i do and DPs is still good.
class knowledge - dont under estimate this one, having to research 5 different classes can take up a lot of time.

Personaly I wont go back to 4 ele shamn, haing almost the perfect buffs/debuffs in 1 team is just too good to miss.
