Thread: Random crashes

    Default Random crashes

Just started my multiboxing on 1 PC with keyclone. Atm running 4 shamans, going to add 1 later from my main account. Got my screens set up with maximizer on keyclone, few basic macros and started leveling. Good fun.

Thing is, i'm experiencing random crashes while playing my 4 shamans. No stuttering sounds, no GFX glitches. Game runs fine and suddenly it's like someone hits my reset button. Few times it happened when i played awhile and closed my main client, other than that it seems to be random.

This doesn't happen when i only play solo. Only thing i can think of atm is that my older hard disc is giving signs of trouble, mainly it's really slow. But i only got windows installed on it, wow (running from 2 directories), even the windows cache is on another physical drive that should be fine.

Anyone had anything similar or got ideas? Maybe i should just stop being so lazy and install XP on a new drive, ditch the old HD.

Not knowing your specs, but your Vidcard would likely be the first to overheat and cause problems. I used some whatever visiontek card I got from BB and would crash like maniac when I ran 5 on my comp. Replaced it with a 8800GT and its like smooth sailing. You said that you got no problems with 1, so your video card would be high on my list of problems.

Also random resets can be due to a power supply either going bad or being inefficient.

Ok i checked CPU, MB and GPU temps. Voltages are fine too. Ram is Gskill, only few months old, I doubt thats the case. Guess i should run the memtest at some point anyways. I'll change that HDD and reinstall XP at some point. I just hate it :x

I'll update if I find out anything.
