Thread: New Boxer May

    Default New Boxer May

Just wanted to say and prepare everybody with my wall question coming up concerning boxing

Started last week with boxing, exacty dua-boxing (Shaman/Druide) and trying to get it working. Used a RAF trail key to test it. So for now, I got this set up; two screens (one main, one slave) and they walk the same and the slave assist with attacking (through macro) and heals master is requested. But that's it and got several problems like all newbees

By the way, I work on one PC with one screen and installed keyclone plus jamba (got that from this site).

Welcome! Don't be dismayed by the learning curve. It's worth it and multiboxing wow makes it feel like a whole new game with many more options for gameplay. I find playing just one char slow and boring now compared to at least running two chars together.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks, been playing yesterday for some hours and it's kind a hard for me. Here are some problems I came accross:

    1. Getting a good macro for my slave to cast two spells in a row (druide)
    2. Losing my slave after he's attacked by a mob
    3. Switching between loot all the time (that's probably I have a trail to test it so can't trade).
    4. Levelling a shaman/druide and this causes problem because they have their own class quests (minor issue)

So any tips/macros or whatever are welcome ofcourse

    1. /castsequence spell1, spell2
    or you could have /castrandom spell1, spell2
you will need to press the button several times obviously, you can't do two spells with one click.

    2. try and add a /follow in your macro, so that your alt keeps up with the main.
You should also read the topics about the "Interact with" changes. Do a search on that and it should give you a few threads.

    3. check the "Interact with" thingy again
Yes trial accounts have lots of limitations. if you're in a group, you could try and make the loot *Free for All* (it's an loot option down your portrait in-game) and loot everything from the main. Careful, your alt will not automatically pick up quest items though, you'll still need to pick up those.

    4. Class quests are obviously not cross-class, you'll just have to do them one toon at the time. You can still do them with the full group though, it will make them easier.

Welcome aboard, as long as you can attack with both your toons and heal your main with your alt, you've probably done the most difficult part :-) the rest is just tweaking. lots of it hehe

Thanks tried something likes this but the double click is something Ididn't do inch:

Have done this but if the mob attacks, it breaks. However, got a macro which makes it easier to get it back in line.

    Got the healing okay 8o
Got a second screen set up now (tonight) so I don't need to work with a big and small screen.

Just correct me if I am doing it wrong but at the moment I am using keys 1 to 6 for my main attacks (main and slave) and 7 to = I use for macro's like healing follow etc. Heading the good way or ...?

that sounds fine, and is totally dependent on your play style and you... err... keyboard dexterity

as for losing your slave after combat, you get pretty use to hitting your /follow macro. jamba can also help by strobing /follow for you.

looting-wise, i normally just swap my main when the current gets full. with quest items, you can click the body, assist so all get the target, and then hit the 'interact w/ target' key (under wow/keybindings)

    welcome to the addiction!,

Okay, last weekend I took some time to lvl up my shaman/druide and I found it pretty hard to do. I have got a RAF account, two screens and some macro's set up. However, it still took me 8 hours play time to get to 14!!!!

Have to honest, also had to travel to SW from Darnas and lvl-ed up my profs too (alc/herb and skinning/tailoring) and the first two/hours were more an exploration game in duo-boxing. But the main problems I have all the time is:

    1. When I play with two screens and I want to loot with my "slave", I have to go to the other screen but sometimes I don't get my mouse pointer on that screens.
    2. My Druide/Slave get too fast aggro and when he gets attacked, the following is broke.
    3. Drop rate is damm low :cursing: (that's something we can't fix )

    Anybody ideas?

you can set the wow keybind for 'interact with target', then just select the target... hit your normal assist macro... and then hit the interact key. any characters in range will loot.

as for your druid getting aggro too fast, that's due to him hitting harder. try using the 'pause' key and have your druid sit out the first cast or two. that way your shammie will have time to put some damage on target before your druid jumps in to help.

Boy ain't that the truth. My very first team took me 10 hours just to figure out how to make KC workout and how to make the right kind of macros just to begin to play I then took like 24 hours to get them to level 10 as I rewrote those macros about 20 times.
