Default VanasKoS - How to auto add a KoS target and other questions.

After a suggestion by Otlecs I have started using this addon. So far I am liking it but have a couple of questions:

    1. It appears I have to manually type in the name of someone I want to add to my KoS list, this can be a huge problem, especially on an EU server where lots of players have really peculiar letters in their name that I quite frankly have no idea how to reproduce. Is there a way to click and drag, copy and paste or some other method to get the name of the player into your KoS list?

    2. Is there a way to have an audible or visual alarm when ANY (or even better, of a certain level) enemy player comes into range?

By default it takes your current target and just prompts for a comment. I've frequently added myself to my own KoS list when trying to add somebody following some chat abuse or similar

I'm not aware of being able to configure it to warn you about random enemies in the area, but I knew somebody who used to swear by paranoia (links to Curse).

I can't vouch for that myself though.

While it doesn't warn you, per se, if you have the little activity display enabled it will show friendlies in green and enemies in red. You can click a red name and if they're in range it will target them. I just keep it small and at the bottom right of my screen. If you have the minimap icon enabled, you can either right click or left click (don't remember for sure) it while you have an enemy targeted and it will prompt for a comment and then add the name.

The enemies display often alerts me to hordies before I see them. I'd install Vannas just for that.

The 2 ways I add people to my KoS:
    1) R-click menu on their unit frame
    2) Find them in the recently seen enemies list and add from there

The system for adding people to the KoS is kind of clumsy, but it's such a good addon overall that I deal with it.

As AlienChild said; the main way to add people to KOS (at least for me) is right click on the sword mini map icon and use "Add attacker to KOS" and get the attacker names that way; usually when I get ganked I add all gankers that way, even if they have funny accents in their name, are long gone out of sight, or whatever. When I get repeatedly camped and I noticed 2 or more campers are from the same guild; I also add "Add guild to kos" but that one needs to be typed

Yea, I like the guild KOS feature. I currently have 2 guilds on my list, both of which are notorious for bringing in 10+ anytime you kill one of theirs and camping you. I see a <Section Eight> tag, it's 4 lavabursts and haul ass 8)

Another thing I found recently about VanasKOS which may help others:

If you click to bring up the main window; in the drop down there is an option to see players in order last seen; this is really handy to find attackers who maybe have killed 1 of your guys while you were afk (I have vanaskos only on my main so he isn't always "attacked") - it also helps in the case where the attacker list is a bit long as that one isn't sorted by recency - also when you right click to add to kos from that list it automatically puts the timestamp in the comment
