    Default Targeting Raid Heals

Due to the smashing success of my dual-box tankadin and holy priest duo (currently L34), my guild is already getting excited by the prospect of me dual-boxing a tank and healer in 10-mans with them when I hit 80.

Of course, my macros and keybinds are pretty simple right now, my heals/etc only have to be targeted on either the pally or the priest, so I just have separate keybinds for each heal/beneficial spell per person.

I'm thinking ahead to raiding and wondering if there's an easy way to handle raid healing with the healer as my slave toon. I'd need to be able to tell her to heal a specific raid member using a specific spell. I've read into macro targeting and found the /targetraid option. Where /targetraid1 always targets the raid leader and /targetraid10 will target the priest herself. Do the rest of the numbers match the position of the toon within the raid exactly as seen on my raid UI? I'm thinking since on the tank I'll see two lists of 5-toons each (each raid group) in my unitframes addon, would I know that the corresponding # will heal that target (with the exception that the priest will be #10 regardless of where she is in the list, ie she swaps numbers with the person in slot #10 if it's not already her) and the raid leader is #1.

Secondly, I'd probably want to use modifiers to make the ten numpad keys cast a specific spell on the given target. An example would be:

    Numpad0:
    Code:
    /targetraid10
/cast [nomod] Renew; [modifier:Shift] Flash Heal; [modifier:Ctrl] Greater Heal; [modifier:Alt] Prayer of Mending
Also, can I combine modifiers to get more than four spells out of a single key, ie Ctrl-Shift could be Dispel Magic, Ctrl-Alt could be Power Word: Shield, etc? Or would I have to resort to using HotkeyNet to send a different key combination to the wow2 window based on modifiers and have more than ten macros/keybinds setup on the priest...

And finally, will my brain be able to handle both tanking using a /castrandom on the pally and also watching raid health and hitting the appropriate key(s) to cast a priest spell on that target? I know I'll never perform as efficiently as a separate person playing each toon. Movement will be a biatch, I could have the priest just follow another healer all the time and rely on them moving properly, but on the "spread the f*** out!" fights it'd be tough managing the priest's movement.

I think for 10+ man you'd have at least 2 healers and your healer can just focus on your tank to keep it simple ?
Otherwise I would think you'd want to use healbot and mouse heal with your healer as main window and keys for the tank - movement may be a problem though as you may need to move your healer yet not follow the tank (maybe just /follow another group member/caster I guess)
2,3,5 boxing wow with Wow Open Box and MAMA, give them a try!

try having two sets of movement keys for the warrior and for the tank. having two screens setup (one for each toon) will make this easier along with keyclone's "focus follows mouse."
you can probably have a 2nd mouse on your feet that switches the attention to the other toon  hehe.
or if you only have 1 screen, set a keybind in keyclone -> setup -> command editor -> bring-to-top hotkey
or you can split the screen vertically?

but yep, tank+heal is very doable in end-game! keep at it and share the tricks that you learn
Calling me a noob would be an understatement...

I would focus on just keeping the tank up, and else, doing aoe heals. Trying to do too much more wont work as well. If you keep your tank up with a shield and renew, and throw on heals as needed, you COULD try and spot heal, but priest aoe healing is so leet, i'd just go with the mentality of "heal tank" or "heal everyone else" maybe have a modifier for group heals on party 1 and party2, but other than that, leave that to the other healer. Maybe as you get better and more geared, you could throw some shields/renews on a few peeps.

In general, in 10's and 25's, you have about 2 or 5 healers.
Some of the healers are on the main tank or off-tank, others are on the raid.

If you're playing the main tank, it would be a lot easier on you, if your primary heal target was the main tank.
Have a different kind of healer (different buffs for the raid, less competition for healing gear) who specializes in AoE/raid heals.

If you want to use mod keys in macro's, you can combine these modifiers:
    - [mod] specifies any or all mod keys are pressed.
    - [nomod] specifies no mod keys are pressed.
    - [mod:alt], [mod:ctrl], [mod:shift] specifies at least that key is pressed.
    - [mod:alt, ctrl] specifies both mod keys are pressed.
    - [mod:alt, nomod:shift] specifies one or more mod keys are pressed and one or more mod keys are not pressed.

You can really come up with a lot of combinations.
Probably more then you need for a single toon.

As an easier alternative, you could use your mouse buttons, such as thumb buttons on the mouse.
Or an addon like clique, to cast (heal) your current mouse-over target.
