but if you're asking for a recommendation...(strictly imo only!) best free - HotKeyNet or AutoHotKey (but for a new boxer KeyClone is still best, although paid, as it is easily configured and allows you to just 'multibox' straight away).
Calling me a noob would be an understatement...

I always put in my 2 copper for Octopus, even though it isn't supported any longer and isn't as easy as Keyclone to get setup. Bug-free software is hard to find.

Perhaps a silly question. I'm yet to have a proper read through most of the forums posts here and get to grips with "current events" but the octopus download site has been down for me for around a month now?

Any info on where to get it or is it officially out of circulation? The KM software was a cool idea I used to use hotkeynet and synergy but the "mouse look on steroids" thing always wound me up a treat. I saw a post here that was basically "so this is synergy without the crazy mouselook" to which the reply was "yes" and I started salavating, whats the crack with these as it stands?

Yes Octopus is nice, bur for basic multi-boxing. The good features are mouse cursor/clicks broadcasting/switching.
If you want my advice, go for HotkeyNet. Both website and software are great. Support on the forum is also excellent, especially for beginners.
HotkeyNet will soon get Octopus' (and others-like) features. If you want to try the latter, go to the official thread, it contains a link to download it.
It may take some time to understand how it works though.

Very soon. Build 45 just got published with Kavoom-style mouseover. (However multiple monitors on a single PC isn't implemented yet.)

As you know, this is HotkeyNet 2 (the new version of the program) not the old program that people generally use. This is an alpha version of the new program so it has only a few features and it may be buggy.

HotkeyNet 2 is much easier to use than the old program. It's completely self-installing. I don't think people will need instructions for mouseover. The only thing they need to know is that mouseover settings are on the Settings Menu.

Thanks a lot for mentioning this.
