Default Looking for advice/thoughs on my new group (all Draenei)

Now that I have played a couple 5-box groups to 15-20, I’m ready to make the group I’m going to take to 70.

I will be playing PVE 95%+ of the time. I have decided that I want to make them all Draenei. This limits my class choices to: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Warrior

I want a paladin to be my tank, so I can narrow the list down to some combination of Hunter, Mage, Priest, and Shaman. Below are the combinations I have been thinking about, and some thoughts on each one.

I’d love any thoughts anyone has on these combinations.

Groups: (all have a paladin tanking)

    4 Priests
    VT and VE times 4!
Easy to Play (Only 2 classes, all casters)
    No Wipe Recovery
    No CC

    3 Hunters + 1 Shaman
    Great CC
    3 Pets
    Rare Combination
    1 Wipe Recovery
If mobs get in close, much harder to control with the melee aspect
    Sucks for PVP

    3 Mages + 1 Priest
    Great CC (against humanoids anyway)
    Ports
    Great AE!
    No Wipe Recovery

    4 Shamans
    15 totems!
Easy to Play (Only 2 classes, all casters)
    4 x Wipe Recovery
    No CC

    3 Shaman + 1 Priest
    3 x Wipe Recovery

Thoughts on any of those combinations are welcome.
    Thanks All!

Went to sm today, met my first hordies also. Was a group waiting in front f the instance, i think it where 4 of them (at the summ stone in front of sm).

Rogue, lock, druid and i think a mage (was running for the instance itsself so didnt take too much time to look).

I run 3 hunters a pally and a priest, and i must admit, it was though getting them down. Only managed to actually kill 1, 1 was a few % from being dead and the rest i left behind. Since i didnt want to pvp, and they caught me offguared a bit (first time i would have to pvp, never met any hordes up to now that didnt include at least a single 70). Though actually keeping on running to sm graveyard, and I didnt want to turn around my pally and 1 hunter survived. The rest died due to a rogue.

Its hard to pvp with 1 hunter let alone 3, and this scenario is something to keep on expecting in the game (pvp server). Actually making me think over the group, perhaps its better to change a bit and do 1 class shammies/druids or 1 priest 4 locks. But then instances would be hard, and right now i can blast through with relative ease.

Wel conclusion, its not easy multiboxing

That's my setup right now. The Enhancement shammy is my "tank". Typical rotation is pull with lightning bolt on the enhancement, then frost shock for threat. After that I can pretty much chain nuke on the 2 elementals, and as long as I keep using frostshock on the main the other 2 never pull aggro.

Only level 31 atm, but definitely looking foward to stormstrike!

    Well,

I've narrowed the list to 3.

(A priest isn't my first choice for a healer because I already have a 64+ priest.)

3 Hunter + 1 Shaman - I love the idea of 3 Freezing Traps for CC Freezing Traps are very underrated IMO. They freeze all that are not immune, not just humanoids or demons or undead. A Grace of Air Totem and 1 wipe recovery would be nice as well....

3 Mage + 1 Shaman - Good CC. Sick AE ability with this group. I know that a Priest would have better heals, but hopefully I can keep aggro on my paladin. (am I crazy going with a shaman here?)

3 Shaman + 1 Priest - Great wipe recovery, but no CC at all. Still a fun 12 totems.

I suspect that either the hunters or the mages will be my final choice.

    Still welcoming suggestions/comments

I'm running a Pal 4 Shadow priest group atm. I have a 70 shadow priest on the Pal's account that i plan on swapping in later for PvP. With a Pal tank CC is more of a pain than a help with a Pal tank. Pal's Concecrate will break CC unless you move alot. but they keep mad agro verry easily. I concecrate and tab dot with the priests and renew/flash heal with all my priests. VT will give back so much mana that even popping in and out of shadow form will not matter.

You can't jesus rez but if anyone is left standing you can rez with that toon. 5 Prayer of Mendings will be more than enough to handle SW backlash.

But play what makes you most happy.

meh 1 enh and X elemental shamans I dont see this be very efficient in pvp at all. For obvious reasons that I dont feel like to elaborate. Even pve at 70 wouldnt work at all either. Should just make him elemental like the others and save yourself some running up to target / positioning time.
