    Default 2 wow's 1 comp, lag issues

    Hi there!

i am relatively new to 2-boxing. and i am having some issues atm. i'm not trying to level 2 toons at once just "helping" level my pally up with my already 70 druid.

problem is when i have 1 wow minimized and lets say on auto follow there is always this 2-5 second delay in the toon actually starting to follow my main around. half the time they will just stop entirely and run in place. wondering if its my internet connection or actually my computer is too gimp to handle 2 wow's at once.

    specs:
    AMD 3500+ 2.25ghz
    2gb ram
    ATI Radeon X1650

i know my system is aging but runs 1 wow just fine with everything maxed, atm with 2 running i have most of the features turned down and running at 1440 X 900

    any help would be righteous..

    thanks

get a second screen and put your 2nd wow on that one...

or keep both wows maximized, i had the same problem

I run 4 wow's on my following comp spec:
    1.8ghz AMD athlon.
    1.5gb ram
    6600gt geforce.

So the computer spec cannot be the issue. Maybe your network card.

My vote would go towards lag.
If you're running around with something on follow, the following char will always be a fair way being the one leading, but to them they are closer to you.
If the main one runs off but its laggy for both, then it may not register fast enough that the main has left and thus the follower gets left behind.

If you are using keyclone I'd recommend making a second copy of your Warcraft folder. Load it up normally and set all the settings to minimal. Close it down and then set up maximiser however you wish. Having 2 WoWs technically should make it run a little faster, plus if one has the settings all the way down it's even less of a strain on the gfx card.

Don't minimize your windows. I had the same issues and I run 3-5 copies on a quad core machine. Leaving the widows open but overtop of each other makes them run smooth as butter.
