Default 5v5 My Perspective (S4 Quadbox Gladiator)

From my point of view, S6 is the season of the Shaman.

Im at 550 resilience and 2100 +dmg. FS+Lava Burst is godly. EM+FS+Lava Burst = SICKNESS! Given I have been losing 5v4 fights. It happens, its early in the season and Im not even close to being geared.

I rerolled my former team because I wanted to five box. PvE is a blast and I geared up my Quadbox with Badge Epics.

I think the current perspective on thoughts on this forum seem inline with what Ive been experiencing.

I just wanted to give you guys some words of advice from someone whos been there:

#1. Enjoy the RIDE! (That means learn from your losses, Enjoy the Frustration, but NEVER GIVE UP!) <--- Theres not a great ride in the world that doesn't go up and down, ask my wife!

#2. Play when the best teams are on. You have nothing to lose, and will gain the best experience in the game.

#3. Learn to accept a loss as YOUR fault if you: DONT land your NUKE, DONT time your Thunderstorm, and DONT pop Bloodlust.

#4. If you dont know how to identify what class to kill first in the most popular combos...stop playing and go read arena junkies. KILL ORDER IS EVERYTHING!

#5. And lastly sometimes its best to play D. in a 5v4 fight...they dont have near the fire power as you and with one down instantly...dont be afraid to help you healer out.

Thats pretty much it. Gear up, follow these rules and I don't doubt you'll be riding a gladiator mount at the beggining of S7.

But what do i know? :P

    Good luck everyone!

So true as it can be, i played my first matches yesterday 21 matches 14 won 7 lose I faced 1950 rated teams and even beated a few of them, my MMV got instantly to 1700 im at 550 resil also and 19k health basically blue savage gear and the hatefull off-set parts. I can´t wait to get deadly/furi and see how the fights are gonna turn out then.

Also if you have the chance for frapsing your fight, then do it and watch it when your done with arena. You might discover mistakes you didnt think about when you where in the arena
so you don´t do the same mistake once again. :P

I find it to be a Cleave season, yet again, Druids tanking in treeform with hots, warriors/rets/dk doing insane damage. :<

ok so let me ask this since this team give me a huge problem. makeup was warrior(full furious), ret pally(blood elf), holy pally(blood elf), resto druid, rogue(blood elf). i tried killing each one first and the outcome was still the same. they had 3 blood elf silence and 1 fear. what they would do is rush me and be silence my whole team on rotation. when those are done im feared. but by the time fear comes atleast 2 chars are dead. i tried spreading my chars out but the aoe on the silence still hits all 4. best shot i had was first try and i won. dropped the warrior instantly then the druid. but after the first they just farmed me with those silences. what would u guys do in this situation? im still stumped.

Im not gonna lie and say theese teams are easy with that amount of belfs, but a paladin with aura mastery would rock that team. 3 meele teams with 2 healers certainly is one of the harderst teams to counter and i bless my luck since there getting fewer and fewer. However you cant change healer for each setup you face and overall i feel priests is way better then paladins atm. HoP is plain useless vs teams with priests or shamans, even worse is both. Priests tend to mass dispell my paladin and forcing him into a cyclone/fear rotation..

My suggestion is to drop the ret paladin and then the rogue.. If you force the ret paladin to bubble with 4x flameshocks you already reduced his damage with 50% for 10 seconds and you just have to switch targets. Killing the warrior will not remove MS and neither will killing the rogue, this means that the dps with highest dps have to go first wich is the ret paladin in my opinion. Get a kill and interrupt the enemy dps with rotating thunderstorm, its only 2 seconds but it realy realy give your healer time to breath. When one of my shamans thunderstorm the 3 other drops stoneclaw totem(for the shield) grounding totem and tremor totem. I also included fire resistance totem and frost resistance totem in my totem spam macro wich does wonders vs caster teams. Keep grinding thoose bgs for better gear and pratice arena!! If you got money, max out proffesions for bonuses like leather working alone gives me 40 more stamina while mining gives me 500 more hp aka my main is about to pass 23k hp unbuffed.

Once you start getting deadly/furiouse gear you start to laugh when warriors bladestorm you.. Unless they outgear you by far, and remember once they start spinning they cant spell reflect!

9/10 times i drop ret paladins instant when i hit my super button! :P With the shock glyph he got 0.5 seconds before the lava burst hits him aka its impossible to avoid unless hes unber lucky (reduce global cooldown on shocks to 0.5 seconds)

The key certainly to use focus on my burst macro, i set a focus target before the match.

    /target [target=focus]
    /use 13
    /cast elemental mastery
    /cast blood fury
/castsequence reset=10 flame shock, lava burst, chain lightning, flame shock (yes you have to wait for the last flame shock)
    /targetlasttarget

With this macro i never have to switch target, i simply dps a hunter then jump and hit this one blowing down a ret paladin without the enemy team beeing able to predict it. Also my target remains the same but the one who is focused ususaly turns grey on Gladius.

Ret paladins, rogues and dks are actually pretty easy kills if you catch them off guard since most use a fair amount of pve gear and lack resillience. They are not immortal just because they have clos, bubble, ice block and they do make mistakes for sure.

My main problem have been 4 meele teams + healer, if you drop one they still keep up with theyr insane dps. What i figured out was to kill the enemy healer and just aoe the rest of them down with thunderstorm, fire nova totems, magma totems and chain lightning. Only got to tested it once but it realy realy worked out for me!

Ive missed talking about enemy setups alot and even if this theorycrafting might just be BS its still fun!

kk triple melee needs much skill, oh wait quad melee needs a bit more skill

you have to find your own tacitc, problem is after you kill a pally instant before hes using bubble, it won't work again so easy
thunderstorm-earthbind rota is very important, I would recommend you to focus the ret until bubble, flameshock druid+medallion+instant lava(druid dead), spam heal untril ret bubble fades, nuke the retri pally. You can also sometimes switch to the warri, just fake cast at him, he should instantly go reflect

avoid to nuke the warri if hes using bladestorm, nuke one of the healer at first or the rogue with focus target, instant lava+frost shock should be enough

Its not hard actually and a flame shock the match after will make the ret paladin instant bubble, what i see most of the time is that they send the paladin in first and bubble. They are getting caught off guard when my priest mass dispell it and i instant gib in before the 10 safe seconds are over. I never realy focus the same target 2 times in a row but my bg got alot more teams so i pretty much face different teams all the time when i play during evenings.

Im not a fan of using medallion on my instant lava burst since skilled teams actually kill tremor totems quite fast and drop fear bombs, if your unlucky you die. One of the teams i faced last night sent in a frost dk and trew that aoe frost trap thing on me, then they focused my "main", to warm me up they kept killing my tremors and a priest/warrior dropped fear bombs. Without a well placed trinket there we wouldnt recover!
