Secondary Monitor WOW Issue

I have setup to run on both of my monitors, them main is on the 23' and the alts are on a 22'. The issue I am having, which I have never experienced before, is that when I open my main the alts disappear. I have tried with my main as both full screen and windowed, but nothing works. I used to be able to run just fine with my main maximized and my alts on the other screen.

FYI ~ I took a brief 12 month hiatus from WOW and am trying to get back into the swing of things.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Are you doing "windowed" + "maxmized" instead of full screen?

I run my primary WOW on my main monitor as windowed + maximized (***NOT*** fullscreen), and can run additional WOWs on my 2nd LCD as 'windowed, not maximized') just fine. Win32XP, nVidia card and drivers.

It sounds like the primary wow is trying to run full-screen mode, which on some video cards will disable your secondary LCD completely.

You may also need to check your dual monitor config in windows, in mine it's set to 'dual-view', which is where each monitor acts independantly, even though I have them at the exact same resolution and refresh rate (they're identical LCDs). And I've set the second monitor to "expand my desktop onto this monitor" so I can in normal windows operation, drag windows between the two monitors simply by moving them off the edge of the screen onto the adjacent monitor.

I used to run my WOW Main in full screen and run my alts in windowed just fine with my old 9800GTX?.?.

I'll check my dual monitor config tonight, just to make sure everything is as it should be. I did just recently reinstall Vista x64 due to a RAID array upgrade.

I may have missed something trying to rush back into multiboxing. :S
