There's a lot of leeway in the Thaddius fight. I'd say as long as you can break 2k DPS you will have enough time to manually position everybody and ignore polarity shifts. The harder part of the fight is dealing with Feugan and Stalagg while giving your party some initial spacing and keeping everybody alive.
