Alright. From now on my video's will not include his software. I love this community and i don't want to risk to get my forum account banned. I talked to Ellay on MSN and he said its okay for me to post video's but i can't include pwnboxer software.

Perhaps you should thank the moderators for allowing you to promote your videos here, instead of complaining about the one they didn't.

Perhaps you should thank him for making the video`s. It helps other people. It`s not like he has a huge personal gain from it.

I appreciate Negatives videos. I understand that he is putting effort into making them, and won't get much out of it, but I was just reminding him that being able to do so is a privilege and not a right.

That's a double dose of irony right?

If you had genuinely just wanted to find out why the videos in questions were being moderated away, you would have asked in private. Or you would have made a mature post phrasing the question in a way that didn't contain any form of personal attack, because it simply wasn't warranted.

Instead, you post in emotive terms and are then surprised to see that people who understand the situation rush to defend one of the few active moderators we still have around here.

On the up-side, since it's come up - again - at least more people will be aware of the situation and will hopefully not make the same mistake.

The only thing I would do differently if I was a no-holds-barred moderator is DELETE the threads in question rather than let them keep getting dragged up and giving this ...person... free publicity.

I'm 100% in favor of a full on delete, BUT, I'm reluctant to delete anything forever, because people can't learn from something that isn't here. I'd much rather lock something, explain why, and let it drop to the bottom. Otherwise you'll still have the same argument of "well I didn't know".

The videos linked directly to the products site via an affiliation link, meaning he was getting kick back.

I don't have anything against Negativ, and I very much welcome his video contributions to the site we already talked about this. Just stating the obvious.

No worries, just understand I don't nuke these threads from orbit on a whim. The reason this application is now allowed is because the author has no regard for the community, that's not the message we're trying to send here. Every author that I've seen come here to support their product is here for the community, not just to make a buck.
