Default Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and say thank you.

I just wanted to take a moment and say hello and introduce myself. I've been lurking the forums now for about a month and a half getting information on boxing and I wanted to express my gratitude to you guys for the great information you post. My wife and I are currently 6 boxing (she boxes 3 toons and I box 3) and the information that has been shared here has been awesome in making our boxing adventures fun. So THANK YOU very much!

    We are currently boxing:
    Me: Shadowknight (33), Defiler (37), Warden (33)
Wife: Dirge (33), Illusionist (70), Warlock (44) (soon waiting on account transfer)

    Thanks again!

Welcome to the boards! And even though you might think you are new to the game, a lot of us are still learning it, or learning how to multi-box it.
Sooo.. if you have any tips or suggestions post em so we can take a look and even add new stuff to the wiki!

Oh sorry I didnt say. We arent new to the game. We stopped playing about 3 years ago. We were in a major raiding guild, got world firsts, and it was tiresome. I played a Brigand and wife played an Illustionist. It just got to stressful in the guild we were in to maintain logging in 7 days a week at 6pm to raid, and we did that for almost a year. We moved on to other games and MMO's and played WoW for abit. We wanted a game to play together that wasnt WoW and had been wanting to get back into EQ2 for awhile now. We decided on a Shadow Knight / Dirge duo and would use our two 70ies to get things they needed as we went along. Well, I got the hairbrained idea that we needed 2 healers to be more effective. Then she thought it would be nice to add in her illusionist. And then we both the other night thought what the hell we play 5 why not play 6 and decided to add in the warlock. Our knowledge of the game was up to Kingdom of Sky so we have 3 expansions and 1 adventure pack to check out. We have no desire to raid. We want to take the game r e a l l y slow. Right now we are working on HQ's that our group can handle and working on quests in Butcherblock. We also lock our combat exp so we can see the most out of all the content we can. It's been a blast and I cant wait till we get to Kunark.

Welcome Emikandi. You sound like my husband and I. We didn't raid much, but we did just about everything we could duo until about 3 years ago {EoF} when we gave up and went back to WoW. About a year ago or so, I got into multiboxing and a few months ago we took it back to EQ2.

Like Frosty said, this is kind of a new domain for us here since there's not a lot of information out there specifically for multiboxers in EQ2. Most people {not us!!!} are alt-tab duos or plat farmers, so we try to mesh things out as we go. So feel free to jump in anywhere to pass along info or ask any questions. The wiki is shaping up, be we're always interested in more information. :P

Yup I'll try to share what I can. Im trying to learn Innerspace and ISboxer right now. I use 2 computers, the tank on the main and then the healers are on a secondary pc. I am using Inner and IS to split the healers screen. I should use it for more but Im trying to get comfortable and familiar with it first.

I have 2 issues with Inner and IS:
    1. I cant seem to get the virutal files to work. I have it setup like the video but my toons always have the wrong account name.
    2. I cant seem to run Innerspace on the tanks pc. When I do performance drops like a rock. FPS goes down to 25 - 30. When in game and I exit out of Innerspace then FPS just go back up to 80 - 100. I play on Very High Quality mode too so thats why tank is on its on PC. I've turned off all FPS limiters in Innerspace and ISBoxer that I could find but I must still be missing something.

Well there is one thing fixed. Turn off SLI. Thats why my performance was crap with innerspace up.

In ISBoxer, open you file with saved settings and right click on the Virtual Files menu item.
Click the New Virtual File link, and name the new file "eq2_recent.ini".

Then expand your Characters menu item and click on the first Character.
I messed this up a few times by clicking on the wrong thing..but.. From the top menu..with your first character name highlighted...click and drag the new "eq2_recent.ini" file to the lower window where says "Virtual Files".

It should add a copy there, and you can click on it in the lower window now.

To the right, you sould have a box that says: "Virtualize as", in here give it a name like "eq2_Character1_recent.ini" Then do the same for each Character and increment the number.

So you'd repeat the steps on the next Character only this time after you move "eq2_recent.ini" to the lower window, name it "eq2_Character2_recent.ini".

Save a backup file of the new settings, then make sure to export your settings to InnerSpace when done.
