I have about the equivalent of F1-F12 and 0-9 - = [ ] \ arrows, q and e on my whitelist - this gives me a good 2 bars worth of combined abilities plus some extras for target, assist, follow, mount, and interact with target buttons. I like having q and e pass so i can strafe the whole group out of an aoe most of the time without losing proper target facing.

Edit: the thing I always forget, even now, is that I can chat just fine as long as i remember to use the numpad for chat numbers, and don't hold down q or e too long when typing
