70-80 is horrible though... I wish Blizz would add some feature to reduce the levelling requirement on accounts that already have a max level toon on in.
Yeah I've leveled (solo) two toons from 70-80 now and not looking forward to doing it again on my dual-box team. I really hated the "Boring Tundra" in particular. But I am looking forward to being able to do alot of the group quests by myself this time round

Just really not looking forward to all the vehicle quests...from what I understand it's rather difficult to get both toons on the vehicle and get both of them issuing the vehicle commands to use the vehicle's abilities, etc. I know alot of them can be done by just having the slave get on their regular mount and /follow the toon in the vehicle...but some of them just won't work like that I think...

In particular, not looking forward to the two "ride the giant" quests, the one in Zul'Drak and the one in Sholazar Basin...especially since the ZD one phases you, I'd have to get both toons on giants and get one of them to follow the other and not die (ie have it pickup storm clouds and AOE mobs to regain health and help with the killing), either that or just do those two quests separately on the two toons...I dunno.

I'm grinding down toward my Northrend Loremaster achievement, and finishing Grizzly Hills is just AGONIZING. Every collection quest I turn in seems to net me -- go figure! -- another collection quest. I can do three or four in a session, then I have to go run a dungeon or do some quick and lovely Icecrown dailies. Fortunately I'm 14 quests away from polishing off Grizzly Hills. UNfortunately, still to do is 90% of Zul'Drak. Ugh.

I've just been working through ALL of the Northrend quest achievements on my mixed group and as it turns out, it's easier to just suck it up and do the quests as you get them. Leveling is NOT a problem this way and you don't end up skipping stuff just to avoid a little more work. Halfway through Zul'Drak now. Not quite level 79 (but I started Northrend at level 72).

I do all the collection quests as well, mainly for the cash thou. Like Basilikos, I've gotten into the mode of doing almost every quest I see and ignore how mind numbing they can be.

You mean I am not the only one? I did all quests in northrend on my shammies x5. I hit 77 in grizzly hills, wich was perfect so I could fly in zuldrak. I completed every quest and even got the accievment for doing all northrend quests. It wasnt really that bad and it make a ton of gold.

No, you arent' the only one dwaine.
My first 4-box team got the northrend quest achievement too, as well as my warrior which duo'ed with my wifes shaman.
My 2nd 4-box team is 78 now (yay! another 28k down the drain for 4 epic flyers + cold weather flying), they've completed all quests up to Grizzly Hills. Going to skip Zul'drak, next is Storm Peaks for Hodir and Icecrown for Ebon Blade dailies. Sholazar Basin is usually the last zone I complete.

Am having a hard time questing through Outlands though. If you skip all collection quests and instances (and dont want to get to Northrend at 68), you run out of quests at about 69. And well, Shadowmoon Valley is a royal pain without flying mounts......

Don't really know why, I can't force myself to do any collection quests in Outlands, but they aren't that bad in Northrend so I just complete 'em all.

FTL system really helps, just lead with one toon till he's done with the collection part, switch leads and keep going. It's mindnumbingly boring, especially if you've leveled up as many toons as I have, but that's all part of it. Just get something good playing on TV, get a tall glass of whiskey and just grind away. My only problem is keeping track of who has finished what, getting back to the questgiver and 1 or 2 toons are short an item or two.

Everyone here needs to read this fellow's statement again. Both parts are true. My mixed group doesn't have epic flying yet and I'm hoping that I can get most of the gold myself while questing so that I can start farming the level 80 dailies at maximum pace immediately.

Unless you are using RAF or plan on making up a ton of that XP in instances, you will not be able to skip collection quests, you are going to have to just pull through them. I personally don't even mind them, you get more coin from the mobs you kill, and honestly WOTLK collection quests are much easier than BC it seems, i am have a pretty easy time in WOTLK (I just finally upgraded this week)

Also, this may not be doable by everyone depending on your employer, or your personal preferences -- but a bag of some high quality cannabis, is more than enough to get you through a bunch of boring collection quests  Only side effect is you will have to take breaks to run to the kitchen for munchies.

I leveled 3 through Northrend together, and it took a little longer than everyone else, but that's fine, I did'nt have to fight for mobs as much.

As for the giant riding quests and such, I just did each toon solo - by time I did it 2 times, the 3rd was easy. It's a pain to slow down like that, but the quests themselves are fun.

The only quest I needed help with was Last Rites - so I just pugged it, after getting spanked hard with my 3. Two dks were there, so we grouped, killed him, they went on their way. Never spoke in chat, or anything.

The next time I needed help was in Icecrown, some of the quests there require 5, no matter what (with quest greens and blues).

I did'nt mind the collection quests, what irked me the most was follow breaking when flying.

I look at them the same as above - I'm gonna grind mobs anyway. *shrug*.
