Level 80

I have been level 80 now for a few days. First it took just under 12 days played time to get all 5 of them to 80. That is about the same ammount of time it took to get my first level 60 back in vanilla wow. It also cost me about 750g per druid to train all their spells and a 100+ on the paladin. I finaly trained all of the fearal skills. They also have a ton left because I do not have bear form on them. I doubt I ever will too, but I might if I get bord play around with cat form and do some 5x melee action.

Gold is pouring in now. I am still in Grizzly Hills and only have a handful of quests to go and I will have the achievement there. 12g seems to be the average with the larger quests giving up to 16-18. Combine that with vendor fodder rewards, some of these are giving me well over 100g total per completion. Right now I am sitting on roughly 8k gold. Only 17k gold more to go and ill have 5x epic flight. At the rate its coming in, I will say I should have that easy by the time I finish the next zone I choose to clear. Either Zul'Drak or Sholizar Bason. I do a lot of mining on one of my druids, I may just go get her epic form right now to speed that up and the rest when I get the coin.

PvP
I created my 5x5 arena team this morning, I did not have a chance or time to try it out yet. The only expectation I have is to loose, and loose hard. I honestly dont see ever getting any really good gear as they require rateing levels, but the jewlery and trinkets and like are very attractive peices, and for my PvE style they fit perfect.

I joined Alteric Valley last night as a group. This is the first time I have ever taken ANY of my groups into a pvp battleground. Also if you can beleive it, this was the first time I had ever been to AV. I had no clue what to do other than make things dead and I did a decent job of it. One of my druids at the end was 4th on the kill chart. Another druid was near dead last. She died and as far as I can tell, did not get ported to a grave yard so she sat in the middle of the battle ground as a ghost the whole time. I never got near that area again so I was 4 boxing it for most of the fight. I got steamrolled a few times. That rogue ability fan of blades or whatever so far just slaughters me.

This kind of pvp is a lot of fun. It has almost gotten me to just transfer off this pvp server I am on to a pve. World pvp is just gay and serves no purpose other than grief. Even now that I am level 80, I completely destroy anyone I come across in 2-3 global cool downs. Half of the hoard I come across are dead before they know what hit them and I really get no joy out of doing it. They just happen to be between me and my quest objectives.

I do miss having an xp bar. Also my main is in the best crafted stuff I can make that is not epic and has not gotten a gear update in a LONG time. This is actualy wearing thin a bit and has me itching to make a 5x paladin group. 5 paladins all with stuns and aoe heals on rotations just sounds so sexy.

Grats on 80! AV is really fun. As far as the ghost, what might have happened is you all got killed, but one of your guys missed the spirit rez timer and started following as a ghost when all the rest of your guys were rezzed. I know that happens to me quit often.

You should hit Wintergrasp every time it's up. You can get some REALLY nice gear, 2 trinkets, chest, feet, helm, belt. Also, you can get some nice pvp gear with honor now, you should be greard in now time. Also a lot of the PVP gear has hit options, so you could use it for pve as well.
