well i know what you mean... but that is the MSI x48C.. that has both DDR3 slots as DDR2. i have the MSI x48.. wich only has DDR3. but that doesnt matter realy.. i get ur point. thanks alot.

But 1 question. my prosessor is a C2D @3.0 ghz. also it says 1333 mhz. im not realy sure what that means but i geuss thats the bus speed. does it matter if my CPU is 1333 and my ram is 1600?? or does that have nothing to do with each other?

The hybrid to which I refered is your board having ddr3 only with a core2 (not ddr3 + ddr2). DDR3 is more at home teamed with an i7. I was looking at a very similar MB before I bought an i7 arrangement. They sell the ram in packages of 2 or packages of 3 depending on your platform. IIRC the core 2 mb's still use pairs of 2 even with ddr3 ram. Just make sure of your MB arrangement before you buy.



The 1333mhz is the Front Side Bus (FSB) speed. FSB/4 X the core multiplier= internal cpu speed. On a core2 MB the FSB and memory speed are related. The memory should be run at an even fraction of the FSB speed . I think some one mentioned this earlier.

The MB's are made to run in a FSB range i.e. 800-2200 mhz. The MB adjusts according the data in the cpu you use. In the above case 1300mhz FSB and a 9x multiplier. These values are user adjustable in the system bios should a user want to overclock the system. Run at system default if you don't want to mess with overclocking.
