5vs5 2 matches won 12 matches lost. would be greatfull for any tips og clue on how i can do better

14 matches this week 12 of them today.
Did have the pleasure of totally pown one team twise now that was a enjoyable feeling, totally overpower them.
Some of those matches that i lost i should have won, not much gear diffrence or skill diffrence i just did'nt pusht he rigth buttons for totems and forgot heroirisme and stupid mistakes like that.

i assume it is no suprise i did better against arena teams ranked below 1700 and i got my arse whipped like a noob by those over 1700.

i run with 4 shammy got a seperate disc healer mate with 650ich resilience the matches today i got help from a pally i did meet in wg dont know his speck, but he did a better job then me today.

some of the problems i got is.

1 still learning the arena maps
2 got betwin 460 and 533 resilience, need more
3 got low stamina, using most of the same gear when i am raiding. so go for plus spellpower gems not stamina that i should? go for
4 unsure probebly a few more

i try to start with flame shock and go for lava burst. then chain ligthing
on the last match i found out one other issue i got.
so i chanced stoneclaw totem location over to F1 and magma totem over to f2 herorisme over to number 5, hopefully tomorrow i will improve my odds, but some usefull tips would be resived with many thanks


is there any special totems and spells i should spam often perhaps like purge?

For general arena telling us setups/classes your having a hard time against helps but it seems there are lot of things gear and talent wise you can improve.

I just took a random of your chars and wrote down what i felt about him..

Lets start with your gear.. I somehow disagree that getting 2 ele and 2 resto pices is the way to go, i rather have 1.5 second lower cooldown on my grounding totems then 50 resillience. (also you get critt on the elemental set rather then haste on the resto set)

Like you said you seem to know were the problem is with mixing your pve and pvp gear.

Your neck,shoulders,gloves,pants,totem is not good enough, also get seperate pvp and pve gear if not you have to gem for one of them. There is a blue totem you can get by doing all the venture co dailies south in grizzly, takes about 1 hour the first time and include an annoying quest but the totem you get is decent. (120 extra spelldamage on your lava burst)

You also bought the salvation deadly cloack and i do assume this is for mana regen but should not be nessesary for a elemental shaman.

You have bought lots of 19 spellpower gems that costs 70-80 gold each on my server while not enchanting cheap enchants like 18 stamina on your shield.

You lack enchants on:

Cloack (get 35 spellpenetration for pvp)
Chest
Shield

You also lack the "enchants" gained trough items on shoulders and legs.

Talents:

I cant figure out why you are specced enhancing totems and 1/2 points in elemental reach.
Improved shields isnt worth it either due to 15% on lightning shield means going from roughly 1k damage per orb to 1150.
Take shamanistic focus as shocks are costy and 45% less mana per shock is awsome for 1 talent point!
Speccing 5/5 in revebration makes no sense when you can get the double effect in booming echoes for 2 talent points (and extra damage on your flame/frost shock spells) Word to be said i realy like having 5/5 in revebration once im hit capped trough gear.

Gems:

Yellow is resillience since there realy are no good options
Blue: I prefer one spellpenetration gem and the rest stamina)

When you got the time level proffesions!!

There are roughly 1k hp or 50 spellpower in bonuses here but upgrading your gear will give you better benefits atm!

My recommendation would be to try and wtfpwn an opposing melee character with 4 flameshocks and the accompanying instant lavas then spread out. Tell your healer to stay close as they should be the most obvious target. I found my biggest pain to be that my healer is trying to stand behind me thus putting a big fat bullseye on himself.

Thanks guys for the advices and feedback.

I have chanced two of the mayor glyphs and chanced the pvp talent config.
Added the ligthing bolt glyph +4% dps output and the shocking glyphs reduces the global cooldown,
thougth that migth help a little bit on the nukage factor.
Kept the stoneclaw totem glyph.

Removed the improved shields and reverbration from talents, added booming echoes and filled in some other holes.
This time my girls got the same matching pvp build not any minor variations.

Will go for the other resilience trinket from wg if i remember rigth to give my girls a little boost.
two of my girls got the waist from wg earlier today so still got the honor waist, will keep the wg waist for raiding and oppgrade the gems om the older waist with resilience
will use the same tactic as my girls get epicz from raiding or new pvp epics to build opp seperate sets for pvp and pve
the parts of my gear that havent been enchanted yet is mostly trash gear that i plan to replace as soon as possible, or peices that i havent gotten the mats yet to give a proper enchant. doing som uk hc farming to get mats

before i log out i wil make sure all my girls got the current pvp items on them if anyway wanna check the armoury

btw got 344 arena points today/this week, think i go for the last season shoulders or glowes and enchant/gems them opp for pvp usage, it is a small start atleast

omg dont do that, 1.5 seconds off your groundings FAR exceeds your extra 50 resil

think this way, if you are spreading out that bonus on all yoru shamans, likely will never be able tu use its potential at the same time. You need LOTS of resil when you are being FOCUSED and when you are being focused, your extra sockjet bonuses on your alts is going to WASTE.

get 4x one set or the other please, and stop telling people that's a good idea.

ALSO... forget what people are saying about glyphs, dump your lightning bolt and shocking glyphs and get lava and totem of wrath.

I'm just loosing vs triple melee or massive aoe spelldmg, i think that 4 set boni is not so useful

More stam and resil, and at least 75 spell penetration.

It looks like you PvE a bit. How many stone keeper's shards to you have? You can now buy 2000 honor points for 30 shards, since the patch. I had hundreds of those things laying around and burned them all tonight, got me several more upgrades.

I'd disagree with that. Many geared teams will be able to pop enough cooldowns and healing abilities to survive your burst. The guy you almost killed is now at full health - but you have a 8-10 second window before their healers have the kind of cooldowns they need to keep them alive. This is when you throw a couple sets of lightning bolts to finish them off - they crit for 5-6k easy, which is more than chain lightning.

play monday evenings, a lot of free-point teams seem to play that day -- last week I won 5 games against a team that just stood there naked and /danced, its my best PVP arena record to date -- 5-5 for a week!
