Default 5 box hardware boxing, question about Keyclone/Synergy

I'm going to get back into WoW multiboxing and figured why not give hardware boxing a try. So, I'm building four cheap $500 computers for my alts and use my beast pc for my main. I'll have two 22" for the main pc and 1 19" for each of the alts. My question though is does Keyclone work for multiple computers to pass the keystrokes or no? If it doesn't, what could I use to control all my accounts like I would with Keyclone on one PC. I know about synergy, which I'll have that to use one keyboard/mouse for the computers, but does that work inside of WoW to?

Here's the build list for the 4 PCs that will run my alts. Anyone know of parts I could substitute to bring the price down?

Anyone got an answer for the Keyclone question?

You need 5x KeyClone licenses, one for each machine.

Keyclone works for multiple machines, but like was stated before you need a license per machine. Option are hotkeynet or another software

As for the hardware, here are some suggestions:
Case and 400 Watt power supply = $110. I think you can do better by buying a case which comes with a PSU. You could also get more bang for your buck. Example:
    Antec Sonata III

You can do well with a CPU about 1/2 the price: Intel E5200 Wolfdale
But I strongly recommend a better video card then the 7200GS. As an example for $12 more you can get a EVGA 8600GT which would be way way better

And for $50 less per monitor, I would make the extra room for the widescreen 19 inch Acers

that graphics card looks pretty weak to me, I know you don't need nearly as much on a single box playing wow but i think you would be better off with any of the 9800 cards or an equivalent ATI card.

Yeah if you're going to dump 3k into a system, you might as well drop $300 to get the Vetra box.

    I absolutely love mine.

I use keyclone and it does pass to multiple computers, but if you are only running one account per computer then what Fur and the others said is right.

I run 6 accounts on each slave computer, 31 accounts total.

I use amd casue its cheaper.

    Do not get the 7200.

Hope this is not too little, too late, but my 2cents

Fur is right; buy a vetra, you wont regret it.

why don't you go with an amd dual core?

anyway, the general spill if your building slave machines....aim to spend about 50 bucks a component(maybe a bit more on a cpu), and get the best component you can for that 50 bucks. For 50 bucks you should be able to get a better 3d card...(I've heard that you should always buy mid range + card (eg, for example, 8500+) I have no complaints about my 8500's...but then I never tried a 7200. /shrug. anyway, 50 dollars a component should comeout to about 400 bucks a comp...(not counting a monitor) Also, do you really need a 500gb drive in each of theslaves? I bought a big box of 40 gig hard drives pretty cheap awihle back....(I don't remember the exact price, but i think i got them for 25 dollars apeice or something similar.) at any rate, a 40 gig will hold windows xp + wow. tho this might not be true for vista or windows 7...but 500 gigs is definatley overkill unless youplan to do sometihng with the machines other than play wow as a slave...

it might be cheaper to just sit the monitors on boxes...rather than buy stands. I personalyl got a 200 dollar triple monitor arm, but in retrospect I think I would try building a stand...if stand is the appropraite word for sometihng made out of MDF or wood that you mount monitors to =0.

add in 300 dollars for a vetra, and your in business.

When I went from 3 comps to 6 comps i think it cost me about 3k....but that got me 6 LCDs, 3 new comps from nothing, a vetra KVM and multiplexer, a coupla x-keys gadgets, and a ergotron triple arm.
