    Default 2009 Blizzcon...!

So I guess as the Subject says, who all is going to this years Blizzcon?

    Blizzcon 2009 Info

I attempted to go last year but never got around to it (Work had me somewhere else).

Was going to attempt what Knytestorme had done for 2008, but if someone else wants to start a thread to get a list of people going and plans to all get together, then by all means, go ahead.

I'd love to go, but I'm still technically out of work and couldn't afford it. Although I'm currently employed at a barely-above minimum wage job, it's just not going to cut it for much longer. Here's hoping things look up. If they do, maybe I'll join you guys. But nevermind me right now; good luck to everyone trying to get tickets. Let's just hope they don't announce another WoW expansion right away; I still have more than enough WotLK material to play through.

Good luck, last year the tickets sold out in an hour or so and the wow website was impossible to navigate to buy tickets. I imagine it will be the same this year.

Behind closed doors after Blizzcon 2008...

Blizz1: "Well that went well! So many people in such a small space, all spending more money for our stuff!"
Blizz2: "Yeah that was great! Matter of fact I think I have an idea on how to fix the ticket issue we had this year... DId you notice how many hours people were willing to stand in line for our stuff?"
Blizz1: "I heard 5 hours from a few people, so what's your idea?"
Blizz2: "We need to make a line to the web site... that way our loyal customers can spend hours in line for a slim chance to give us more money this year!"
    Blizz1: "Brilliant!"

So our fate was sealed by the mass of people who lined up from one end of the convention center to the next during last years Blizzcon. (Here's a concept for you Blizzard - special access online store for Blizzcon gear, only allow access to confirmed tickte holders, I know radical technology based solution, how dare I). I give the new ticketing queue system a very tiny chance to actually work on the 16th (based on Blizz's track record on new content / ideas being deployed to live servers. Honestly they should have just dumped all the tickets into a 3 phase lottery.

I went last year, it was fun to check somethings out like D3, meet up with some people from in game, go to the Dual Boxing dinner. I will try to get tickets this year, however I will not be too disappointed if I don't. I do think the announcement at Blizzcon should easily out impress the class announcement for D3! wooo that was a thriller.

Doesn't look like there will be as many people interested this year as last year. Not that I blame them. There really isn't anything new to look forward to at this convention. Last year the hype was over diablo 3 and starcraft 2 as well as WOTLK expansion. There really isn't a lot for them to do at this con other than the usual sc2, wow, and d3 booths as well as the 3 different tournys and Q&A sessions.

I am going to be looking to go this year anyway for the starcraft 2 section. Starcraft tournament and more starcraft 2 related news releases.

Hope to see some db faces there.
And suvega and vyn coming again this year? Probably not since they haven't been around as much lately but would be nice to meet up with them again
