A friend of mine runs perfectly on Thaddius with two warlocks, teleporting on half the side changes.
But with the addition of interact with target plus click to move, I've come up with this theory on how it may be possible to multibox 5+ characters (or any number you have enough fingers for) on Thaddius taking full advantage of the stacking buff.
My theory goes like this:
Laying the trust on DBM's polarity change announcer (big message in the middle of your screen) and assuming you can get all characters across the jump reliably (levitate anyone?).
Using the strategy of everyone running straight through the boss on polarity changes (this seems safer and more reliable than running around him even for solo players anyway).
If you bind a different key to move forward on each character, and arrange them on the keyboard (or x-keys, whatever you use),
and can look at all the screens at the same time (nothing more than an overall glance to see the pattern of which windows get the message of polarity has changed),
then press the same pattern of buttons relating to the affected windows, to move those characters forward, through the boss, and letting go once they reach the other side,
and then hitting the interact with target button for everyone, with click to move enabled, this would turn all the characters around to face the boss in their new (or old) position.
Even if they aren't too well lined up, over the course of the fight they should not end up straying too far to either side around the boss for that to be a problem.
And since he has a large enough hitbox (assuming noone uses baby spices on him, we had that happen in a raid with painful results) for melee to hit him from both sides without crossing polarities,
using click to move with interact with target should not bring any characters too close to the middle, and thus not crossing polarities.
My shamans are not high enough level for me to test this yet, but any multiboxers / solo naxxers who would be willing to test this would be great
As long as no client lags too much to move (which = death on that fight for anyone anyway),
this should allow the Thaddius fight to become one of the more boxable fights instead of being the least bosaxble one like it is right now.
Assuming this theory works, that is.
And now, please discuss my theory, and let me/us know if you try it and see if it works well enough
Note: this all assumes you are able to pay enough attention to the message on all the wow screens/windows to be able to press the right combination of buttons fast enough.
I believe I may be able to do this myself if I don't lag too much, with the respective keys bound to Y U I O P for example, or a setup more fitting to the pattern of the wow windows in the person's view.
