    Default Some personal progress

Well my team entered the WOTLK zones and have been trying to do something in instances since level 69. Result was terrible. My paladin is mainly dps geared with some lower level TBC tank items.

Anyway. At 70 I tryed some UK, excluding a few deaths I made it to the first boss finding out how hard the place is. No wonder some boxers say that they don`t go there till like lvl73 74 when they outgear it.
I wiped 4 times and gave up. Today I tryed again. Pala + 1 shaman at 71(freshly dinged) and 3 shamans nearly at 71. I tryed something different, bloodlust,4x fire elementals and then stackup on the boss and nuke the shit out of him. It was amazing to see how the fire elementals took care of adds + icetombs. Seeing that I heard he`s quite hard at lower lvls as a boxer it felt great to get him down. So here is me beeing all proud and shit:

After that I had like 6 or 7 tries on the second bosses untill I figured out that I had to dps the caster down first lol. Still felt good again :-)

It`s pretty late now so I kinda gave up on the last boss after like 6 whipes. I had him at 3% the first try with fire elementals. Without the dps was just slow and the shamans went oom (yea mana is terrible in 3.1). When my fire elementals got back from CD I did it again resulting in a whipe at 10hp or something. Since I`m not happy waiting for another 30minutes I gave up for today.

Maybe it`s not a big thing to most of you, it still feels like some progress to me compaired to my old 4x shaman team. + paladins are lovely tanks

Congrats on your progress. It's always fun finally killing a boss that has been kicking your teams butt. Good luck and have fun with the rest of your teams's progress!

    Grats on UK.

I remember it kicking my arse until I had leveled well past it (75).

Even then it was hard for me. Good job!

Excellent work! Utguard Keep was a biotch, but once I finally got past it the rest was easy. If your lacking tank gear, get a set of level 70 crafted Cobalt armor. Also at starting at 74 to 78 each level there will be 2 peices to upgrade through crafting. It will provide a great boost to your tank. Also it takes like 38 cobalt ore to make, so like less than two full stacks. You should be able to buy the ore and find a BS to make it for you well under 50g.

My only tip as far as the final boss goes, is take it slow on the first part. By this I mean, do not blow all your high dps cool downs or mana dump at the start, use a more mana efficiant rotation and get to full health while the valkyrie is talking away, as the second life hits a lot harder and thats where you want to max burst him down.

I was allready thinking of check if there was a craftable set at lower levels. I`m surely going to get that one.

Yea I should blow heroism on phase 2.
Tho I do think I really need those fire elementals. On boss 2 you can also work with earth elementals.

On the last boss I went Wisdom with 4x healing totems. There is still a lot of healing on the whole party even with the totems. And when his weapons start spinning in the middle of your group it`s quite recommanded to move them out quickly lol. Found out it hits like a truck on shamans.

So I went to nexus today. Killed the giant stone guy on third try. Second try was a accidental pull.

After that I one shotted the rift boss and the caster one (sorry don`t know names)

Last boss was quite a bitch, after 13 or 14 wipes I gave up lol. Getting the kobolt tanking set helped a lot. I can recommand it to anyone. Atleast I got the 3 nexus quest done giving me boots, shoulders en gloves. All tanking.

You need to be sure to use the paladin to cleanse any of the ice shackles that Keristrazsa puts on a random group member right away (Decursive makes this really easy), and either jump or tap forward/backwards every few seconds to clear the damage stacking effects on the whole group. Stand the shammies off to her side somewhere so breath attacks and tail sweeps don't hurt them. Set off heroism/bloodlust about half way through the fight (assuming you're mostly questing greens, earlier if you think you have the DPS) and use Divine Protection on the tank when she's about 25% health (she enrages at 25%, doing more damage).

Sounds a little complicated, but it's not too bad after a few tries. I think I wiped a couple times at first, just working out the timing I needed.

I am still stuck on the second boss in UK (normal) first one goes down quite well with the "/target frost Tomb"
Second Boss(es) mage was down (Ghost) and wiped a couple of times on the other then, got him to like 10% a couple of times , before I was tired and went to bed

all cobalt set and all are lvl 73 +
I don't suffer from Schizophrenia, I enjoy every moment of it !
