Question about Thaddius

I've read some where that if you drink a swiftness potion you can just run off the mini boss platform and make it on to thadius's platform, instead of having to jump. I dunno I haven't tried it yet though

A hunter told me that aspect of the pack (think it's this one, well, the one that makes everyone run faster...) on there's no need to jump.
Anyone can confirm this?
